Hey, don't sweat it, I felt the same when I first moved to the States. Pirate But when homesickness sets in, you've really got to appreciate your home country.

Where'd you come from, originally? Smile

I do love my country (cuz it's what I got) but I'm not blind.

Welcome back, travelers. Sophie

The problem with Filipinos is that we fail to see and admit that we are indeed inferior. When you give the truth to simpletons, they just get so butthurt instead of recognizing the problems and addressing them. Everyone just resorts to emo bullshit.

And because we fail to see that we have a problem, we continue going on with our merry ways. We're content with living in this mediocrity. That's why this place is so goddamn stagnant. And to top it all off, the very pinnacle of Filipino underachievement, a dude who definitely does not live up to the name he carries, may just become president. An underachiever extraordinaire leading a nation of underachievers... match made in motherfucking heaven.

Just got back from an EPIC EPIC EPIC trip of mindblowing proportions. New Zealand and Australia were great. I'll always carry them in my thoughts now. Great sights to be sure, but it was everything else that really captivated me: clean air, disciplined drivers, no traffic, WTF-how-can-this-healthcare-system-be-possible. And people so polite and pleasant you couldn't believe they were real.

They say Filipinos are a friendly bunch, right? Less gets said about the Kiwis and Aussies, but I think they're probably even more friendly. There are the arrogant pricks of course, but generally, I found everyone to be much nicer and more relaxed. Way to go, low power distance!

I support this. And it's not because I'm not a patriot. It's because it's the truth. When you get out there and spend some time in another country, you really end up comparing everything there and here. And if you end up in a first world country, the stark difference is really, really bad it's bordering on ridiculous. It's sad and it sucks.

okay peeps. im gonna be STUPIDLY frank. i dont have even a measly amount of attachment to the ph. sorry, but thats what i feel. i dont need to reiterate anything because nix and grim already pointed out everything i could say.

and yes with the emo stuff. people here are so quick to jump the gun and immediately conclude something without taking a step back and thinking about it. and when someone DOES think, people consider that person to be "slow". A lot of people here immediately respond just for the sake of responding. When i came back from jp, i immediately said to myself: "wow, really inferior."

with mediocrity, i think one of the cheesy cliche lines we have inthat thread sums it all up. people are so engrossed with the concept of god and love that they are content with shit.

I don't really care much for all the other comparisons, but the Philippines has inferior eggplant, and curry, and 105 yen onigiri; so that's a bad thing. Crazy
