HnA01: Pakitang Gilas
Time Frame: April 25, 2023 [Wednesday] at 8:00am... In the [literal] City of Angels, Jione.
Location: At a coffee shop named 'Takadori's', near Jione Lake... A guy wearing a yellow sports jacket walks into the store
Jay: [At the door] "Good morning Sir!"
Sir Takahashi: [Cleaning the countertop] "Good morning, You're early today."
Jonathan: [Behind Jay] "And so am I."
Sir Takahashi: "Since, the three of us are here, maybe we could open the shop early."
Jonathan: "It's up to you Sir."
Sir Takahashi: "Ok then, we'll open the shop now. Jay, give away some hand-outs outside please."
Jay: "No problem." [Takes some handouts] [Walks out of the shop]
Jonathan: "It's been a month when he first came here. Wait a minute, how did he know this shop?"
Sir Takahashi: "A friend told me about him. That's when I decided to hire him."
Meanwhile... At a nearby stationery shop...
Shop Owner: "Hikaru, could you buy us some pasta? I'm sure you haven't had some breakfast yet."
Hikaru: "I do hope it's for free."
Shop Owner: "Nope, your share will be taken right out of your salary."
Hikaru: "You're mean!!"
Shop Owner: "I'm just kidding. Now go buy us some breakfast." [Hands Hikaru some money]
Hikaru: "Yes Miss Anne." [Takes the money and runs out of the shop]
Jay is walikng while giving out flyers...
Hikaru is running to a nearby restaurant...
Hikaru bumps against Jay...
Jay is pushed back, falls to the ground and unintentionally loses the flyers...
Hikaru was pushed back and falls to the ground in front of Jay...
Jay stands up and helps Hikaru stand...
Jay: "Hey... Are you ok?" [offers a hand]
Hikaru: "I'm alright." [takes Jays hand and pulls herself up]
Jay: "Next time, if there's no need to rush, don't run." [Picking up what's left of the flyers]
Hikaru: "Sorry... Are you hurt?"
Jay: "Nope. I guess I'll be going now." [Stands up and walks away]
Hikaru: [Picks up a flyer] "Takadori's..."
At the coffee shop... Afternoon came...
Jonathan: "Well, that was one busy day..."
Sir Takahashi: "It's not over yet, look."
Jonathan: "Here we go." [stands up and assists the customers to their tables]
Hikaru: [Approaching the counter] "Good afternoon, Uncle Yamato."
Sir Takahashi: "Hikaru? Is that you? My, have you grown."
Hikaru: "It's been a long time Uncle."
Sir Takahashi: "Oh yes, Jay!"
Jay: [From the kitchen] "Yes Sir? Hey! Aren't you..."
Hikaru: "Aren't you..." [Overlap with Jay's 'aren't you' line]
Jay: [Overlap] "The one from this morning?"
Hikaru: [Overlap] "The one from this morning?"
Sir Takahashi: "So, you've already met each other."
Hikaru: "Just this morning... Oh! I haven't told you my name yet, It's Hikaru." [offers a handshake]
Jay: "My name's Jay, It's a pleasure to meet you Miss HIkaru." [accepts the handshake]
Hikaru: "Could you please take the 'Miss' away from the Hikaru, It makes me feel old..."
Jay: "Well then, I guess Binibining Hikaru would work for you..."
Hikaru: "Waaah!! Marunong kang magtagalog?"
Jay: "Hindi po. Kahit makaintindi po, hindi ko magawa."
Hikaru: "Tange!"
Jay: "Pwede na rin. But, I'd rather hear the term 'gago', It sounds crackly."
Hikaru: "Gago? Ano yon?"
Jay: "Ah, sige, kalimutan mo na lang na may sinabi ako."
Sir Takahashi: "Jay, you're holding my god daughter's hand for too long..."
Jay: "Oops... Sorry."
Hikaru: "Ayos lang."
Jonathan: "Jay, a little help please..." [carrying four trays]
Sir Takahashi: "Jay, I think you better go back to work."
Jay: "Ok, later Hikaru." [helps Jonathan by carrying four more trays]
Hikaru: "Mind if I help?"
Sir Takahashi: "You better not, you know that your dad doesn't like seeing you do manual labor."
Hikaru: "He's in Manila with my brother, how is he supposed to see me work if he's there?" [puts on an apron]
Sir Takahashi: "Ok, go ahead."
Jonathan: "Well, that's one stubborn girl."
Sir Takahashi: "She's been like that since she was little. Taking that trait out of her system will be impossible now."
After 3 hours... At the shop door... after they closed it...
Hikaru: "Goodbye Uncle Yamato. See you again tomorrow."
Jonathan: "Don't forget my raise."
Sir Takahashi: "Good night... Hikaru, do you still live in the same address as before?"
Hikaru: "Yes, Uncle. Why'd you ask?"
Sir Takahashi: "Maybe I'll stop by there sometime. Please say hi to your mom for me."
Hikaru: "I will Uncle Yamato."
Sir Takahashi: "Well then. Goodbye guys."
Jay: "Bye Sir... Come on Hikaru, I'll walk you home."
Hikaru: "Sigurado ka ba? Malayo pa ang bahay namin."
Jay: "Ayos lang. It's better than letting a girl wander around without anyone to protect her..."
[Flashback: - I'll protect you, in your brother's place... -]
Jay: "Hikaru, Ok ka lang?"
Hikaru: "May naalala lang ako. 'Lika na, ihatid mo na 'ko."
Jay: "O sige... See you tomorrow Jonathan." [fixing his glasses]
Jonathan: "I'll make sure that I get to work earlier than you do!"
Jay: [Waving his hand] "Sure sure..."
After a few minutes... At a corner near Hikaru's house...
Maniac: "Hey boy! A lady that fine's too good for you!"
Maniac1: "Yeah! Why don't you just give her to us instead?"
Maniac2: "Or you could at least share... Hehe."
Jay: "Sorry, but I'd rather have her all to myself. It's not like me to share with lowlifes... Like you."
Maniac: "Are you insulting us?!"
Jay: "Well, I guess it's way beneath your understanding... Or maybe you're just plain stupid."
Hikaru: "Jay, tama na. Lalo mo lang silang gagalitin."
Jay: "Yun nga ang plano ko eh. So, maybe five seconds are too much for you..."
Maniac2: "You ARE insulting us!"
Maniac1: "I'm going to kill you!"
Jay: "Well, it never hurts to try... At least try..." [Takes out a long collapsible thrusting baton] [takes off his glasses with
his left hand] [shifts to combat position]
Hikaru: "Sigurado ka bang kaya mo sila?"
Jay: "Kaya yan, baka nga dalawang segundo lang tapos na 'to." [disappears]
Maniac2: "Where did he go?" [a pair of blue eyes flash behind him] [Maniac2 was hit on the nape] [Maniac2 is knocked down]
Maniac: [Rushes towards Maniac2] "Hey! Are you ok?" [Tries to wake maniac2 by shaking]
Maniac1: "That guy's a monster!" [Rushes towards Hikaru] [Points a knife at her throat]
Maniac: "Come out come out little boy..." [a pair of blue eyes flash from behind him]
Jay: - "As you wish" -
Maniac: [Looks behind him] "How did you!?"
Jay: [Performs an upward diagonal slash] [Hits Maniac by the chest] [Maniac is knocked down]
Hikaru: "Jay!"
Jay: -"'Took me more than two seconds... But still... They only lasted against me for one second each..."- [Disappears]
Maniac1: "Come out or she dies!" [moves the knife's blade a little closer to Hikaru's throat]
Jay: -"Desperation maneuvers like that never worked on me... But stil... I don't have any other choice..."- [Disappears]
Maniac1: "He disappeared again?" [Hikaru disappears] "What!? What going on?!"
Jay: -"It's called teleportation"- [Appears with Hikaru beside him] [Jay Disappears again]
Maniac1: "Aaaaahhh!!" [Charges towards Hikaru] [Jay appears in front of him] [Jay attacks with multiple thrusts]
[Maniac1 falls to the ground]
Jay: -"As I've said, desperation maneuvers never worked on me..."- [wears his glasses]
Hikaru: "Thank you, Jay..." [Walks towards Jay]
Jay: [His eyes and voice returned to normal] "Isipin mo na lang kung pumayag akong umuwi ka ng nag-iisa." [Collapsing his baton]
Hikaru: "Right... But I can handle them."
Jay: "Of course you can. Let's just go before they wake up. I can't afford fighting them again, my baton's about to give up."
At Hikaru's gate... Jay says goodbye...
Hikaru: "Jay, bakit hindi ka muna pumasok? Para naman makapagpasalamat ako ng maayos sa'yo."
Jay: "Hindi na, gabi na eh. Baka hinahanap na'ko ng lolo ko. Sige." [turns his back and closes the gate]
Hikaru: "Jay! teka, may sasabihin lang ako!" [Opens the gate] [Jay already teleported out of the scene]
Hikaru: "Nawala na naman sya. Could it be him..."
At Jay's gate... He finds a small blue box with his name written on the lid... He opens the box and finds a limiting band and a pin
Jay: "Kanino naman kaya galing 'to?" [zooms at the pin]
