Myuu... Finally been able to upload some pictures. That darn storm really did a number on several cities... I guess I was pretty lucky that the areas that I had to wade through flood water was relatively low (If you call water up to my waist low). It was also one of the few times I enjoyed an MRT ride.

I really hope everyone's okay.

At Buendia EDSA. It was in pretty good condition though I was wondering why there was a complete lack of buses in the area....

Here's the answer to my question:

Several parts of EDSA from the Ortigas area all the way to Cubao were already flooded and some parts had water reaching the top of the wall of the MRT rails...

Some parts of Quezon Avenue were also affected.

don't worry man, you're not alone. I literally had to swim through waist-high (my waist height anyway) of pasong tamo to ayala(where there was NO flood at all). water was super disgusting, smelled like shit and cockroach. then, the MRT had only 8 fucking trains running. had to wait for almost 30 mins for one. then, the lrt ran sooooo slow, i took a nap anyway. fuck this weather. fuck it.

it's a good thing my village is situated high, with the houses even higher-not to mention I REALLY have to give props to our mayor, Mr. Echiveri for doing an outstanding, i mean outstanding job on our drainage system. water never reached even half way to your knee(ankle height max). and thats already pretty good compared to other places. i felt sorry for one aunt and uncle of mine who literally had their houses SUNK in malabon. one of my cousins ther had a few hg model kits too, a ps2, and a pc SUNK. my aunt had their whole business demolished because it was in their house.

wish ondoy was a person right? so we can bash the fuck off his face. or make him go thru this instead, a million times over. this can also be done to the "leaders" this country has.

finally a lot of people blamed the sudden weather change to the floods, I know its one of the factors, but that doesnt give the mayors and the people in charge of the places affected to be any less prepared. This country FINALLY paid the price for its complacency. PAIDED even.

it's sad, when people have to suffer first to be awakened by something. My mom told me Hong Kong, (which is the next target of our good friend ondoy) NEVER had floods or at least didnt suffer that water height. I kinda worry about their location since its a sea-side city. D:

Philippine Star: 'GMA used P800-million emergency fund for foreign trips'
http://bit.ly/2KzQN3

Quote:President Arroyo used up the government’s P800-million contingency fund for emergencies like calamities for her frequent foreign trips, Bukidnon Rep. Teofisto Guingona III revealed yesterday.

“She exhausted not only Malacañang’s travel funds but also the P800-million appropriation for emergencies in the 2008 national budget,” he told radio station dzMM.

He said he based his revelation on a Commission on Audit (COA) report submitted to Speaker Prospero Nograles this week.

“I have a copy of the report. An assistant commissioner of COA even briefed us on their shocking findings,” he said.

Guingona said the COA findings show that the 2008 contingency fund was not enough for foreign travels and Mrs. Arroyo had to augment it by P120 million.

Jake: Yeah I read that one last night. Disgusting, as usual. How's your fam doing?

I hope Grim is doing ok. Last I heard, the water was knee-high in his house. But Ice's house had the entire 1st floor engulfed.

It's sorta funny (but not really) that there've been bottlenecks all over the roads (mostly Manila) for a large part of the year because new piping being laid and drainages being overhauled. Recent events just show how good of a job they did.

Thanks a lot, you good-for-nothing government. Even the presidential runt was caught casually buying booze during the whole ordeal. He should have drowned.

epic fail! meron ka nang media suicide on your belt arroyo...

Was listening to this radio show of anthony taberna and jerry baja.
They were talking to some dude about the rescue situation.

The two anchors asked the interviewee how many rescue boats does
our entire rescue team have?

the response was
- Philippine Special Task Force (military rescue team) has 6 boats
- & the PNP rescue team has 4 boats

JESUS CHRIST!! (forgive me lord for taking your name in vain)
Mabibilang sa 2 dalawang kamay natin ang mga rescue boats
sa buong pilipinas?!
Hindi ba nagkaroon ng budget manlang to buy these rescue equipment?
Walang budget?! Bakit nga ba?

KASI GINAMIT NI ARROYO PARA SA BAKASYON NIYA!!

INA MO GLORIA

Oh and on another note, the one who was supposed to be in charge
of making sure that we are prepared for such things is the disaster
relief coordinator = defense minister = GIBO TEODORO

Something to think about
