I posted this because I've played T6 at the arcade and I think the list is fairly accurate, and the justifications by the players for the placing seems alright as well. What I'm unsure of is if Roger Jr. and Julia deserve to be that high up, since no one uses them. I've played about 400 matches or so since the machines got here. Anyway, if any of you has tried playing T6 at the arcades, let me know how your main character is holding up as I'm interested in that sort of thing.

In case anyone's wondering, I've been a Yoshi and Jun (now Asuka) player since Tekken 2.

Whoa.. Thanks for the tier list. Baek's down there? That's hard to believe.. (Then again, I haven't tried T6 yet). I'm happy to see Lei and Yoshi in the upper half bracket of the list. Win. Tongue

@Applehead: Based on your experience, does the game feel fairly balanced? (Unlike the T5.0 days.)

Update on Tekken 6 at Greenhills.

The place doesn't have too many players, so it's probably a good training location. The guys already there tell me it's practically deserted on weekdays.

That, and the atmosphere's far less intense than in Megamall.

The international release of the game does seem more balanced then the original Japanese one (based on watching videos on youtube), though I haven't been able to read up on what the changes were exactly.

What I can say is that you should expect to re-learn your character because of major changes in timing and staple juggles unless you're a Lei player because move/timing execution is still similar. If you're not absolutely familiar with your character AND playing controls on the arcade, starting now will cost you a lot of money to familiarize yourself because you'll essentially be making up combos as you go along. Damage-wise, juggles should do about 30% on the average. Bryan's wall game is broken because of his taunt though.

It's also nice to see DJ not alone on top of the tier lists anymore because he's there with BOB the fat man and the other two.

Two last things.

- If you're a Baek player, you'll have to poke your opponent to death every single round. If you play Baek, show some courtesy and let them eat you about 20-30% before fighting back.

- If you use shoulder buttons in the console version of Tekken, please take this new game as a chance to GET RID of your training wheels! They're gay.

That doesn't mean the game's not broken in some parts though.

I've been watching some Roger Jr. match vids and it looks the Roo still plays quite faithfully to the T5 version. Whew.

But yeah, I'll just wait for a console version. And a friend with a console to actually play it on. =P

That's about 1.8 million PHP.

Forget the machine - I can buy a PS3 and all its original games in one go for that price, and still have room for a year's supply of snacks!
