The Rules

Welcome to the Raven Republic!

This place is a sanctuary of sorts to Ravens. We're mostly based in the Philippines but all are welcome.

We're a pretty calm and laid-back bunch, so just a few common sense rules to keep things even keel:


1. RESPECT

• Respect other people's views and personal opinions.
  

2. FREEDOM OF SPEECH (AKA THE BANE OF WEBSITES EVERYWHERE)

• Within reason, you can talk about anything here. Obviously, nothing illegal please.
  

• If you're treading a controversial topic, expect controversial replies.
  

• Due to this website originally being a Filipino community, old-time members are comfortable with each other and will sometimes speak in Filipino. Feel free to ask for translations.
  

• In the end, this is a privately-owned website, so we reserve the right to cut off your access if we see fit (see rule number 3).
  

3. EVERYTHING IN MODERATION

• Use spoiler tags for posting spoilers or mature/NSFW content.
  

• If someone consistently displays bad behavior, they will be warned. If they choose to continue doing the same thing, they will be banned.
  

• In case of being warned/banned: there are self-appointed mediators/negotiators here that are willing to help prevent or lift the ban. Change is good, especially if it's for the better, but being a lost cause is another story.
  

4. SEARCH AND READ BEFORE YOU POST...

• If there is something you want to ask or a topic you want to start, check first if a thread about it already exists. The Search function is up top.
  

• If your question is covered by an old topic, feel free to necro it. Bumping and reviving old threads is not as big of a deal here. Just don't overdo it.
  

5. ...AND POST IN THE PROPER FORUM

• The corollary to the previous rule; make sure you're posting in the proper forum.
  

• It's pretty simple, we have 3 main discussion areas: Community, Armored Core, and Miscellaneous. Community will be for the people aspect, Armored Core will be for the game itself, and Miscellaneous will cover everything else.
  

• Let's keep the boards easy to navigate and topics easy to find.
  

6. GOING OFF-TOPIC / THREAD DERAILING

• It's fine as long as it's something that's marginally helpful/connected to the current discussion.
  

• ...or if it's something funny. Everyone loves a good laugh.
  

7. STREAMLINING

• Please keep your avatars and signatures reasonable and PG-ish. The maximum size for avatars is 100 KB.
  

8. INTRODUCE YOURSELF

• If lurking is all you plan to do, at least introduce yourself. It's not mandatory, but it would be nice to know you're human.
  

9. HAVE FUN!!!

• It's a community forum built around a game about giant robots. It's not THAT serious.
