Heavy Bipedal Blader

Concept fun build inspired by AEA1's thread:

AC Name: Rhomphaia

(1)H09-SPIDER 9,1,0,0,0 or (2)YH06-LADYB 8,0,0,2,0
C05-SELENA 7,0,0,3,0
A08-DRILL2 10,0,0,0,0
(1)CR-LH94A2 6,0,0,4,0 or (2)LH08-JACKAL 8,0,0,2,0
B03-VULTURE2 3,4,0,3
CR-F75D
G01-LOTUS 0,10,0
R03-LINDEN 3,0,7
-
-
(1)- or (2)WB03R-SIREN
-
-
YWL03LB-TAROS
-
-
(1)CR-O69ES, CR-O69SS, O03-CODON, O07-PRIMER, O04-GOLGI, MARISHI
(2)CR-O69ES, CR-O69SS, O02-ORGANELLE, O03-CODON, O07-PRIMER, O06-PHAGE, MARISHI

There are two versions of the same build, one utilising the built-in radar of the SPIDER, the other is equipped with the LADYB head in addition of a back radar. Version one has some glaring stability problem that is only partially mitigated by the inclusion of an optional part in addition to lower AP (though energy defence is higher). Obviously this is still an experiment to test the feasibility of a heavy weight intended to take on other bladers, it has not been pitted against a human opponent yet.

Tactics:
A jumping blade strike will do more damage than a normal ground sweep, though booster control is vital as contact with the ground will cancel out the swipe.

nice...

revival of the blade

hmmm... you could put something on your extension slot

for a pure blader it could be extension boosters, side shields, or energy packs
for your case I'd put a turn booster

you're not gonna use the eo's are you?

EOs are not allowed? Blink

In that case, I will put UA in place of SELENA (tune 4 weight, 6 energy defence). Do side energy shields deflect blade strikes? If they do then use TURBOT, if not, then ANOKU will have to do (it's heavy and drains a lot though).

Shields will help and buffer damage coming from the sides. Problem is, even with a high output generator, they affect your refresh rate. Makes a Kongoh feel like a G91.

It's also kind of like a chore to keep turning them on and off. I'll go with solid extension shields or none at all for more mobility.

Ok, I have tested the side-energy shields, they do deflect blade strikes. Still, it is better to have nothing as its hard enough to get hit in the shield to begin with. Here is the final build:

YH06-LADYB 8,0,0,2,0
CR-C83UA 5,0,0,5,0
A07-LEMUR 7,3,0,0,0
CR-LH94A2 6,0,0,4,0
B03-VULTURE2 3,4,0,3
CR-F75D
G01-LOTUS 0,10,0
R03-LINDEN 3,0,7

AND shields on the side honestly border on the useless imho. So little coverage for so little reward.
