Ear/headphones or Jack?

For example while you're watching porn, playing your favorite game, video, or listening to your favorite track (preferably on something that isn't portable - duh), somebody calls for your help and you need to lift your ass off your chair, what do you do?

A) Remove your ear/headphones jack and wear it along as you vacate from your seat.
B) Take off your ear/headphones. Leave it and proceed to lift your ass.

Shouldn't this be in the audiophilia thread?

I usually do B, because there's usually a popping sound when you reconnect your headphones to the source, especially if it's a high current source. It's not good for the drivers inside your headphones/earbuds.

I used to do this all the time, until the person in authority who wanted to speak to me went ahead and banned all headphones and earbuds

I used to do A, but now that I've read Jake's reply I'll start doing option B.

A! remove jack then plug it in iPod/Phone etc. It's a bad habit I recently got. Even if I'm talking to someone, I'd just stop playing music. It's kinda rude even though I tell them it's not playing. XP
