I've been watching the current season of TUF here.

Next week it's Roy Nelson vs Kimbo Slice.

This may be as good as it gets, so make sure to catch it. The series is very good so far.

Wikipedia: Roy Nelson (born June 20, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada) is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division. Roy is currently a cast member on the tenth season of the Ultimate Fighter, The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights.

Roy trains with Ken Shamrock's Lion's Den and is known for his excellent grappling skills and good agility for a heavyweight. He has competed at the prestigious Abu Dhabi Grappling Championships (ADCC), won numerous titles and has trained with some of the world’s best fighters including UFC’s Randy Couture, Ken Shamrock, Tito Ortiz and Ricco Rodriguez. In the 2007 International Fight League World Grand Prix, Nelson became the league’s first ever heavyweight champion and successfully defended his title 3 times. Roy is also a blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Renzo Gracie.

Well, what do you guys think about Kimbo Slice? I heard somewhere that he was a street fighter (no pun intended ) that got into MMA. He also got flurry-KOed by Seth Petruzelli the last time I saw him.

He's an okay/above average striker who got in way over his head because his promoters marketed him in a certain way. Now he has to live with the inflated expectations, but at least he earns a lot of money.

I'd say he's on the level of Chuck Liddell in terms of striking, but he has nothing on the ground. From the TUF shows, it looks like his takedown defense is decent.

Note: ADCC is considered the most prestigious grappling tournament in the world, so it's quite rare to see someone pulling off a move as difficult as a flying armbar against very talented opposition.

theoretically yes, but since DW is a legit douchebag, he'll still get kimbo in the ufc regardless of what happens in TUF. DW said before that kimbo is a hoax and he sucks, now he literally ate his words and got him in.
