Silent Line vs. Last Raven
played SL for a back track of the game physics...
well, found out that ACs in SL tend to "slide" after an overboost (example: OB forward then a bit of right, then halt it as you move to the left)...kinda weird that AC "walks" as it "slide" to that direction...which is very good for dodging...but the feel is icky, coz it feels like your not contact with the ground. unlike in LR, the physics in motion is more good compared to SL, just "right", when you boost-hop, you dash, being stunned, etc...no more slide effect. feels that your AC's leg is in contact with the ground.
and also, when you fire a rifle...
in SL = always straight
in LR = no that straight (it should be)
LR has booster heat, SL has none, only the OB (realism issue)
in SL, energy weapons heat value is "cold", unlike in LR (another realism issue)
LR's heat management, OK!...ACs are machines, heat inside should spike when boosters are running, in a "progressive" manner. unlike in SL, you just overheat by...repetitive OB sudden heat spikes..and because only of solid round fire...not right
SL = double lock (so you'll have to wait for you FCS to acquire the second, more accurate lock)
LR = accelerated single lock action (lock speed). once you lock (and it turns red), just "decide" when to fire (which is much better)
well...i find SL to be more "arcade"
while LR is more of "simulator"...because of the physics and the feel, just "right"
maybe with a few more tweaks to LR (like fixing the balance issue further)...it would be probably the best ARMORED CORE
