Yep, definitely. While you say OB may not be needed for bipeds (and can prove it ), OB is most definitely needed on tanks, unless you have turnboosters... oh wait, you do, lol. Good choice with those.
EDIT: Oops, you're right about the Fudoh, my bad again. I've been messing up my posts lately.
Here's a thought: put a sniper rifle on the left, maybe a Golem, and the HP on the right when fighting other tanks. That gives you a smaller lock box, true, but more range, even when firing those godly backmounts. Tanks are generally easier to keep a bead on anyways.
This looks similar to the tank that I used while playing at Rick's. He may post the vid of it soon, I hope. It was fun.

Actually, FUDOH turned out to be heavier. Hehe.
Anyways, I did a major revision on this AC and it's now much more faithful to my SL Tank

There yah go. The FUDOH certainly did the trick. GRIZZLY gave me a little more mobility too. Renga has worked really nicely for me. [/quote:42d86a762f]
For the third time, this tank of mine has evolved. I'm finding out that tanks are a lot harder to fine-tune than other types of ACs. However, I think (hopefully) this AC is ready for some human versus. I can't wait.

Since I've got 2400/1800 defense, I'm a little vulnerable to energy weapons. However, I'm banking on the fact that most designs with energy weapons have shell weapons too, so things will even out. Also, if I'm persistent with my GL Jousting, the opponent is bound to have less AP than me at all times.

Dude, no need to edit then bump your thread, just double post, it's no biggie. It's been a few days since your last post anyway.
Anyway, the latest one is a real heavy. Yeah, about the 'weakness' of the defense on the energy side, well, it's not really weak, heh. 1800 energy defense is something on the level of a midweight biped. Squaring off against them nets you the benefit of the doubt, since you're the tank.
I think the design could use a little Volute if you're going up against other tanks. Since they're going to go at mostly the same speed as you anyways, the extra locking on range is going to help real big.

My vote stays with the F73H since it can track faster ACs with better ease than the VOLUTE because of its overall bigger box.
Try putting on the NIX on the left arm for greater left arm support or maybe even the R3 if you can handle the lock box. Also extension AMS' are a better choice than the RENGA IMO since they don't drain energy which you'll need for frequent OBing, and you can concentrate on aiming your weapons instead.
This is a very capable design and can break through defenses and safeguards that range control specialists create to fight against other opponents. Tanks have the ability to ignore damage, get into effective range (thanks to OB), bet everything on one devastating shot, and get out of the risk-zone in one swift attack. They're also able to use other back weapons (such as the LGL) with relative ease compared to a quad, allowing for a sustained supressive fire with little risk for the tank.

i'd consider switching the 1hp to the 69h.
and perhaps the rs to that other rifle that has a reload time of 44. i think that thing has more ammo and accuracy is not that bad either...

Ganthritor?
Sounds familiar... wasn't that Tassadar's flagship from Starcraft?

Yep, my tank AC is typically named after the Protoss flagship from starcraft.
Like Rick said, F73H is for tracking faster opponents.
Oh and thanks for reminding me about the NIX. I forgot that I still had extra space when I changed the GRIZZLY to the A2. So yeah I'm definitely using the NIX for the left.
As for the RENGA, I only use it when I'm just rolling around. This AC has enough energy supply to maintain the RENGA without draining the bar if I'm not boosting. It's proven supremely effective against missiles. I turn it off when I'm OB Jousting since I usually just ignore whatever the opponent throws at me. Nakakaaliw kasi yung Renga para kang Fortune from MGS2. Hahah. Deeks are there too just in case. I'll try the Solid AMS though.

Here's the current and most probably final version of this AC. I love how the longhorn provided even more AP, energy, and defense. The radar is crap though. But what really finalized this design was the replacement of LGL with LAMIA2!
In all the previous builds, I noticed that the LGL wasn't really enough to keep other ACs from getting close. And since I only had shell weapons, I almost always lost to other tanks. By simply placing LAMIA2, I addressed both of those problems pretty well.
JIREN works great for an extended OB maneuver or simply to recover lost energy to be able to get back into optimal range.

Well, if it suits you I still think you need to change the LONGHORN though, at least to the 85SR (Neo-REDEYE IIRC) which has acceptable radar stats with OK defense. That or EYE3, but I'm sure you want to avoid that
Everything else seems to be in order though.

Even with the shitty radar, I can't imagine heavy tanks without LONGHORN anymore! I think the best heavy tank heads are LONGHORN and SR2. EYE3 breaks even quicker when on a tank.

Haha, totally forgot about the SR2. Just goes to show how long I haven't been playing. Anyway, I say go for the SR2 despite the drain, the radar will immensely help you at close range or when you overshoot your opponent during OB. As much as I like the way the Longhorn looks, the radar really turns me off and it really needs a buff in that department.
