Manga ur into, questions, recommendations, any manga-related issues..
This is to encourage people, even in this not-so-big way, to acknowledge manga as an absolute art. I hope this may help, for people to like manga and be introduced to it.
Have you guys read comics near your place back then? funny komiks? the pinoy-copied version of marvel comic that sells for P5.00 pero issue back in 90's? even the hundred-peso priced original marvel issues that you buy in 7-11 every month back in 1992.. these u.s. comics should be really entertaining and makes u go 'wow' back then right? if this is the case, you ought to check the japanese manga out and let yourself be embraced by it. you might find yourself be hooked to it big time compared to u.s. comics!!
Different genres, action-packed, love story, comedy, drama, horror.. manga offers them. Some animes that originated in manga might even be less entertaining than their manga versions. In manga, no animation will suffice, the drawings should be good and hey, the animation is up to you! you have to have the imagination to really really love manga.. the creators should animate these fictional characters with their lovely drawings. Be embraced by it!

il start off with some recommendations..
Berserk
genre: bloody action, gore? heh-heh
story: A newborn child is clinging on his mothers hanging carcass when this child is found by a mercenary and was raised. This child's childhood life is nothing of a child, he grew as a merc and faced painful memories along. As he grew, he met a group of young mercenaries called 'band of the hawks' and ended up with them. This band made this man grew in a positive way.. until the 'day' that they were all 'sacrificed' and only 'he' was left. Being the only one who 'survived', he then had this fury of revenge burning.. fury kept aflame by the pain he feels in his right blind eye and left cut arm the 'sacrifice' left him, he then ventured to find 'who is responsible'.

Berserk... the super long running manga that I never bothered to read. I want something that I know will end. XD
Gantz is also one manga that I HIGHLY recommend. The Naruto manga > anime too.

The Slam Dunk manga is actually pretty awesome. And it goes past the cut-off of the anime, and into the tournament Shohoku was bound for.

Ichigo 100%! A nice love story manga with a healthy dose of fan-service
If the cover doesn't get you to read this, the story will. I know Cabs will agree with me on this

You talk like nobody is into manga.
A lot of kids out there already knows about it.
Try introducing this to WWII veterans. Maybe they will like it.
Manga is cliched. I dont think it's absolute.
BTW, Fuck western manga wannabe's.

gantz is good too..
berserk is up to volume 32 now and i think its still far from ending.. miura might be considering this as his 'sidequest'. he's a pure nocturnal and only works at night. for me its a mix between when-will-be-the-ending and i-want-to-see-more-dont-end. i hope kentarou's demise aint nigh.
o ya, just to those who didnt know, the end of gon finally meeting up with his "father" in the end of hunter tai hunter gi final is not the ending. it continues in the manga
