Well the Python is an LR-exclusive, but the Ladon back weapons are energy railguns as well, and they've been in AC since AC3 at the latest. Earlier than that, my memory goes foggy.

As for railguns in other games... well, there was one Metal Gear Rex... (wow... what a fanboy huh?)

fast fact: that's not a "real" railgun.

the definition of the railgun is described in the wikipedia link i posted. i know wikipedia can be unreliable at times but, it's quite the opposite in this case. try googling for it on other sources and you'll get the same results.

another fast fact: railguns and coilguns (a.k.a. "Gauss rifles") are quite different, but they work using a similar principle.

Well the railway gun thinngy is not actually a railgun, and if someone that knows Metal Gear Solid in PS1 might saw a Railgun in a part, but I did not see it fireing


Anyway when I saw Cascade Range fires the Phyton(when I first played LR I do now know what kind of Laser Weapon is that?? well when I realized that it is a Hand Railgun) so that weapon will be my choice on my weapon#25.

Poor choice, really.

The Python is only a novelty weapon. For reeels. Below average damage and heat, low ammo count, stupid charge time. If they upped the damage about 200 units more, and the heat by around 300-500 units, then it'd be a good gun.

maybe the reason why they never fired it is because its armed with a nuclear warhead...maybe...

But in MGS2, Fortune uses a miniaturized version of that gun(thats what they said in the dvd).

Well, it's not the Phyton itself that I will make but an upgrade of the Phyton with 1000+ attack power and more attack heat, oh yeah it has a Nuclear version of it but it be heavy to my #25, even though it is heavyweight. well the design itself is like a Ladon2 with the Phyton's 3 long rails(or whatever is that thinngy) other spec's is still unknown' well just imagine a Phyton and a Ladon2 combined.
