10 Ways to Get an Anime-Loving GF!
Oh. I forgot to add another thing.

She's also the youngest.

However I think her parents liked me for the reason that I sorta made her girly-er as time passed. They didn't like me when I brought my PS2 and we played games into the night.

I don't mean to generalize Chinese people. But I've noticed a large degree of differences between pure and half-blooded Chinese people. This family that I encountered though was very welcoming (upto a point).

My family is pure chinese too, but we're (cousins included) allowed to have relationships with whomever we want. Times are changin'

Single and unhappily married men could have greater stroke risk

Quote:Men could be at a greater risk of suffering from stroke if they are single or unhappily married, a study has revealed.

Presented at the American Stroke Association's International Stroke Conference 2010, the results are based on research carried out in 1963.

Over 10,000 civil servant and municipal workers took part in the study, with all the men tracked until 1997.

Even after taking into account conditions including obesity, smoking habits and age at death, it was determined that single men had a 64 per cent greater risk of suffering a fatal stroke than those who were married.

Meanwhile, there was also a 64 per cent increased risk of those who reported dissatisfaction with their marriage being hit by stroke then those enjoying a successful marriage.

Uri Goldbourt, a professor of epidemiology and preventive medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel and author of the study, said: 'I had not expected that unsuccessful marriage would be of this statistical importance.'

It is estimated that 150,000 people suffer a stroke in the UK each year, with an individual experiencing a brain attack every five minutes, according to the Stroke Association.

tl;dr Don't mistake yourself as "nice guy" when you're really "codependent guy"

Edit: And a follow-up for guys who are reaally anti-social. It might be because of trauma.

these two are very much the same things i realized a few months back that caused me to stop worrying about getting a girlfriend/being single/etc and instead focus on self-betterment. still need to get used to being more casual when talking with girls tho. and getting over the trauma of the M incident is gonna take lots of time Sad

so yeah. i asked a girl out and i got the cold shoulder for almost a week. she's talking to me again, if you consider one syllable words talking. most people have advised me to back off and just wait till things go back to normal. at that point i can try to re-establish friendship or even try to woo her again. a few questions tho:

do i still greet her in the morning out of courtesy?
how about small talk?
or do i just stop all communications (unless required by my job)?
for those who have been in a similar situation, how long does it take for things to cool down?

thank you in advance.

- My vote is for stop all communication unless required. If she's willing to communicate again I think she should be first. She doesn't literally need to talk to you first, just watch for body language and subtle hints.

It really depends on the situation. If she still seems to be "naiilang", then give her (a ton of) space. It'll do you both some good.

It depends. With my ex we went through this destructive cycle of FIGHT then make up after 2 days, FIGHT again the next week, then peace again, etc. At least we were always willing to talk. Some couples I'd imagine would just fight and never talk again.

I just hope she doesn't feel 気持ち悪い (kimochi warui) towards you because that would be the end of everything Tongue
