...55 minutes? How is that possible? Walking might have been faster, even.

Welcome back, guys.
@ Sforza
Not really sure since some of the guards we tried to speak to earlier were pretty taciturn and curt with their answers but as to what little i understood, there was some foul-up with the previous train which caused some complications and most of the following trips were delayed for upwards of forty minutes per train. I should've gotten the hint when the doors took more than ten minutes to close and for the train itself more than fifteen minutes to pull out of the station.
And then it slowed to a crawl and ultimately stopped just before going into the tunnel at the Ayala station.

@Fox: Lapitin ka talaga!
Just got back from an EPIC EPIC EPIC trip of mindblowing proportions. New Zealand and Australia were great. I'll always carry them in my thoughts now. Great sights to be sure, but it was everything else that really captivated me: clean air, disciplined drivers, no traffic, WTF-how-can-this-healthcare-system-be-possible. And people so polite and pleasant you couldn't believe they were real.
They say Filipinos are a friendly bunch, right? Less gets said about the Kiwis and Aussies, but I think they're probably even more friendly. There are the arrogant pricks of course, but generally, I found everyone to be much nicer and more relaxed. Way to go, low power distance!

I support this. And it's not because I'm not a patriot. It's because it's the truth. When you get out there and spend some time in another country, you really end up comparing everything there and here. And if you end up in a first world country, the stark difference is really, really bad it's bordering on ridiculous. It's sad and it sucks.
