rave:congrats to Ateneo!! the team really had a solid lineup all season
rant:even though I'm from DLSU, I was really disappointed by their post-game actions and all.....the UAAP is for friendly competition, and for developing the spirit of sportsmanship....I'm also disappointed at DLSU for always fueling the fire in the more darker side of the rivalry...

Yuri Escueta is also playing his last season. At least they still have Rabeh Al-Hussani, Baclao, Buenafe and most of the current roster
Mix, you should have told me you were watching. Chris was nice enough to give my brother and I tickets. He really, really wanted to win the championship this year, so I'm happy for him.
The DLSU players are thugs, and they showed it again through their actions. Always have been, always will be. Nakakahiya sila.

At least it's not like the behavior of fans of a certain soccer team. Those diehards have been known to start riots and tear apart stadiums each time their team loses a game.

Haha soccer hoodlums. Dami kong nakikitang vids ng mga away nila.
As for the game, I felt that the refs were too light on their whistles. It was a championship game, they should have given a little more leeway in terms of physicality. Ang feeling ko kasi natakot sila masyado dun sa tension between the players because of the rivalry and what might happen because of that physicality, kaya magaan yung pito nila. It happened that a LOT of those calls favored Ateneo. Passing through picks, presses, double teams... usually those kinds of contact go unheeded with other schools. Example nalang si Casio. I felt he should have ended the game with only three fouls.
To be honest, I was a bit disheartened because La Salle was playing without Maierhoffer, so hindi na kumpleto yung kalaban. But, it's still nice to have your school be the champion again after six long years of waiting.
I went to the mass at the campus directly after that, dinumog talaga yung chapel ng mga tao. Yuri and Chris gave their farewells. I ate with some of my friends at Perspolis (it's a Mister Kabab competitor in Katip). We drank some beer. It was a great night. Kahit baha sa Cubao.
What I don't like is what I'm hearing right now though... may rumors na mag-iimport daw ang Ateneo ng player from the States. Just to win another championship? It doesn't feel right.

Patron kayo? I was all the way up in Gen Ad, but it was good too. Masarap dun sa maingay (katabi namin yung band), plus the view wasn't bad at all.

Yup, I was at the patron area. Nagwawala si Senator Gordon sa likod ko (literally), pero medyo tahimik naman si Senator Jinggoy sa kanan ko.
About your analysis, I mostly agree with it. Just wanted to add that the refs were also responsible for making Chris sit out for more than half of game 1, and Rabeh for half of game 2.
While it is true that Casio probably shouldn't have been called for one of his fouls, it was probably also DLSU's insistence on playing physical that got them in trouble in the firs place. In addition to that, at the middle stages of the game the refs might unconsciously have been trying to make up for the bad foul call on Rabeh at the start of the game by being light on DLSU, which wasn't able to capitalize on his absence.
DLSU also wasn't executing on their own plays for most of the game, and their low post game was rendered ineffective by Baclao. I think they were just outmatched (hence trying to stick to a physical game despite being warned by the refs before the game started).

Does that douche even care for all the effort you've put into your games?
