The international release of the game does seem more balanced then the original Japanese one (based on watching videos on youtube), though I haven't been able to read up on what the changes were exactly.
What I can say is that you should expect to re-learn your character because of major changes in timing and staple juggles unless you're a Lei player because move/timing execution is still similar. If you're not absolutely familiar with your character AND playing controls on the arcade, starting now will cost you a lot of money to familiarize yourself because you'll essentially be making up combos as you go along. Damage-wise, juggles should do about 30% on the average. Bryan's wall game is broken because of his taunt though.
It's also nice to see DJ not alone on top of the tier lists anymore because he's there with BOB the fat man and the other two.
Two last things.
- If you're a Baek player, you'll have to poke your opponent to death every single round. If you play Baek, show some courtesy and let them eat you about 20-30% before fighting back.
- If you use shoulder buttons in the console version of Tekken, please take this new game as a chance to GET RID of your training wheels! They're gay.
That doesn't mean the game's not broken in some parts though.
