Yep, pretty much Goat summed it up. I only know 4 people in RR who ever cosplayed at a point in their life and entered a con though.
Cons here tend to be really crowded, so it's rare for most of us to even think of going. There's at least one or 2 big ones per year here in Manila and numerous smaller ones.
