Rant.

Okay, just saw Quantum of Solace last Saturday at SM V Mapa. The movie's not the rant though, it's the theater. The usher tried to direct me up to the freaking balcony seats. I asked her why i couldn't sit in the front rows, and she replied the management said so.

I told her there that I had just spent 141 Php on the ticket, and that there is no way that I was sitting in the back, where I could barely make out what was going on onscreen. They let me sit in front after that episode, but I had to ask why we were being told to sit in the back.

It was apparently to discourage piracy - to keep people from recording the film



Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't forcing people to watch a movie at ranges that'd make their eyes bleed be a more likely reason for them to give on the whole "cinema experience", and cause them to just go home, and just buy a cheap-ass bootleg of the flick? I know that's how I felt...aside from being tempted to drop-kick the theater's management for coming up with such a dumbshit solution like that
