All the FCS' he mentioned pretty much give the same lock box size as he's using 2 WS lock weapons. The COWRY's low parallel sight stat is offset by its wide area coverage (it has the widest lockbox coverage if you'd notice), while the F69 has a good parallel sight rating but the initial lockbox is smaller compared to the COWRY's. And yeah, defense is a big deal for me (thus my preference for such designs), so if looking for some extra shell defense the A72F are your arm sets.
If ever you are looking for an extra boost of speed, I'd try the LOTUS + GULL combo, as the weight savings + the extra boost speed of the GULL will give you a few additional points of speed.
Don't be so against Wanzerfreak, though I don't really approve of some of his methods with regards to dealing with some people, he's mostly right in many cases and he knows his stuff really well. He's a cool guy if you get to know him.
