Actually majority of the game companies said that production cost of
games on the next-gen consoles are very high. So they plan to release
games into multiple platforms to increase their return of investment.

In some games, timed exclusivity will be implemented like what i heared
about the new acecombat game where it will be released earlier on the
xbox 360 for a certain period of time before being released on the ps3.
