I actually tried a design with the Ettin before and I wasnt too fond of it because its velocity is so slow leading to crap tracking. You have to be at close range to score a hit effectively and with the Ettin weighing so much, manueverability is shot.
Yeah thats why I play the midrange game. If im fightin somebody that plays CQ, then landing shots with Ettin is quite easy, long range pilots give me a bit of trouble, but most of em are either light(which means that two shots from Ettin will drop em about 4k), or they are heavy, which makes jousting them sooo much fun.
Even though I haven't prefect my energy management with this AC. I'm still be able to rack in some wins and even makes some sick comebacks(Beat a OB bruiser when he had about 4200 AP on me, three precise shots with Ettin brought that down REAL quick.)
Oh and btw, the Eye is for the stab and the decent radar, as well as its wieght.
