I've just about had it with LR. It sucks in comparison to the older games that came before the Nexus engine. The limited part selection, the wonky game mechanics in general. To compound it even further, all this reading up on AC4's awesomeness is driving me crazy. Plus I know I'll have to wait a while before I actually get my hands on it. But as with all things, there's always a workaround.
So I looked to the current platform for the best AC games on it. What did I find to my liking? Another Age, AC3 and Silent Line. Sadly, I only have but one of those. Ideally, that really shouldn't be a problem, as one AC game should (ideally) take months to fully enjoy with the right competition. But alongside the fact that I have no real consistent humans to go up against (I'm talking everyday here), I think what's really keeping me from having fun on SL is that it's all in Type B. Man, I'll have to have some serious perseverance to switch back after all this time of Type A. But it can be done. The reward of fun at the end alone is enough to push me on.
Also, I've been watching AA vids of The Watcher lately, and damn, the game is amazing. Not only because of the great play of one of the best snipers in the game, but also because everything I love about AC is present there and accounted for, to a degree which I think is even more fun than Silent Line itself (because of the absence of lefty weapons).
NEED MOAR AA.
LR would have been long dead to me if we all didn't use it for playing.[/rant]
