Yes, that would help. A good rule of thumb for equally good refresh is to have around 2000 and up surplus energy. That should net you enough refresh speed for a long flying session, a lengthy skating run, or even some OBing. Although for the last part, at first it helps greatly if your surplus is 2500 and up. As you get more accustomed to the mechanics of the movement, you can start lessening and lessening your surplus energy, in case you want to equip deadlier and parts of a higher tier, but have higher drain.
