I guess you just rocked them out of their comfort zones. People really need a swift kick in the butt sometimes, or some harsh truth if your legs can't reach that far.
As I said though, I don't think you need to fear posting your stuff over there. Just be sure to back it up with some alternatives or suggestions on improvements. They don't take too kindly to just pointing out what's wrong with their designs, they want some of your viewpoints too. Although I guess, they also want it done in a courteous and respectful manner, which is why your words were seen as flammatory in nature.
wanzer, you are an arbiter of truth... candy coated or otherwise.
Unfortunately, some people just can't take it, or don't want to handle it, and for a site as large as ACO's, where people may not necessarily know each other well enough to be able to withstand that level of umm... 'intensity' that was displayed in your comments, it's important to keep your words nice and smooth, because complete strangers (as we in relation to some of the other people on ACO are) can take the slightest of jests and pokes as challenges upon their very person. In comparison, discussions in RH can sometimes be liberally spread with the whole spectrum of expletives directed at each other, and yet no one blows a fuse and no topic gets locked, because they all know each other pretty well (ask Leperman and VeilSide about it, they know full well what I'm talking about), as we do here. That's our main advantage.
I'm not saying you should be discouraged from posting criticism where it is warranted. I'm also not saying that what you said towards Guppy were just mere jests: that was plain bashing, however you look at it. I'm saying that I wasn't too happy with how you did what you did. You have to realize, doon kailangan mong ingatan ang sasabihin mo. Here, because of our ties to one another as Pinoys and our relatively small number, you're almost scott-free to say anything you want. Almost.
Please remember, and this goes for everyone as well, in the future, comments and topics posted here must be about topics or subject matter present here, on this board.
