I wonder how I'll be able to get this. Via Mark maybe? I'll try to talk to him once I've gone home.

Wow, who would've thought people from RR would buy out a bunch of stuff from the list too Smile I pulled the Denon D1001 headphone out because I don't want to sell them anymore, so...

Right now it's just down to this:

Sunrise AS-Charm earbuds - 3k

Yep it's the KSC75, but they had special pads.

necro!!

anyway, the other day i accidentally got the cord ripped from the jack of my earphones (KOSS KSC75 clip-ons). the actual ear pieces are intact so i thought of grafting a new jack onto the cord, but it has three? four cables so i didnt go through with that. so yeah first batch of questions:

can this still be repaired?
who or where do i go to?
how much?
or can i just repair it myself?
anyone got spare jack/cord that are compatible? XD
or where can i buy em?

ive also thought of buying new headphones instead and leave repairing for later. an officemate recommeded behringer, but he couldnt remember the model nor the price. another one mentioned getting a Fiio amplifier.

are behringer headphones sturdy enough for daily sardine bus/fuck-you-MRT commute?
where to get em, and how much?
Fiio amp, is it worth the money?
officemate said if you use a Fiio you wont need a highend headset. is this true?
where and how much?

finally, i just found out my tv has no earphone jack. been playing God of War 2 and other rather noisy action games and family is complaining. so yeah..

is there a converter for audio out cables to earphone jack?
again, where and how much?

i'll be googling these questions in a bit, but thanks in advance.

The cables are for L-channel, R-channel and ground

Yep.

300 pesos more or less (parts included) if I had to estimate

Any audiophile branch. Ask for a 3.5mm plug. I suggest getting an angled plug. Sandmoose and blackwing both have stocks of plugs though, to make things faster.

An amplifier will only be as good as the headphone it's used with. Upgrading headphones should be priority IMO. I've never heard the Behringer line-up, but it's known as a brand for budget conscious people that produces passable (not quality) equipment for the price. I'd suggest a Sennheiser PX100-II or an Aiaiai Tracks from Digital Walker or TPC

Goodness, no headphones are sturdy enough for that Ninja
Might as well have a herd of rampaging water buffalo run over your headphones.

Quote:where to get em, and how much?

Ask around in Park Square 1. There's a Behringer dealer there.

Quote:Fiio amp, is it worth the money?

Only if you have good headphones to begin with.

Quote:officemate said if you use a Fiio you wont need a highend headset. is this true?

LOL

http://tipidpc.com/itemsearch.php?sec=s&namekeys=fiio
There are dealers everywhere. Most of them offer shipping for 100 pesos or so.

This is where Fiio amps (or any other porta amp) can be useful. You basically get the line out signal from the TV and pass it through a headphone amp to be able to control the volume.

hmm..for the PS2 audio thing..i have a 2 female RCA to male 3.5mm jack converter. the laptop has a 3.5mm audio in as well of course 3.5mm audio out. i wonder if the system mixer is enough to make this work XD

update:
it works but the cables are way too short so its very cumbersome. i'll have to check sometime next week for rca extension cables or maybe even a splitter so i dont have to unplug anything.

Oh wow a headphone thread! I'm an avid user of head-fi, and it's a great community to learn stuff about headphones real quick.

I've gone through a couple headphones, and here are my current ones:

Denon D2000

Audio Technica M50

Little Dot MKII (since the pics I've gotten mullard ef95 millitary spec drivers for them)

For gaming purposes: Audio Technica AD700 w/ astro mixamp and labtec LVA-7330 boom mic
[Image: P1060285.jpg]

I also have an HRT Music Streamer II Dac, but it's not really shown in the pics.

Oh ya I also have a pair of Mackie MR5 MK2s for my TV, but I Don't have a pic because I'm still making a custom wall panel to hang my tv and electronics, and once i get it together I'll show the setup with the mackies.

If anyone has any questions on headphones, feel free to ask me. I browse head-fi a lot so I've soaked up a lot of information.

The next headphones I'm eyeing are the Fischer Audio FA-011. I plan on selling the M50 and DT990 600Ω, and might replace the AD700 with the FA-011 if I like it that much better for games.

I'm pretty happy that there's someone else here who's into headphones LOL Nice pictures, especially those with the Little Dot amp. How is the Labtec mic connected onto the AD700? Ohmy
