Shangri-La's food and beverage director shot dead in Makati

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) - The Italian director of Shangri-La Hotel's food and beverage section was gunned down in Makati City on Thursday morning, police said.

Senior Superintendent Froilan Bonifacio, Makati City police chief, identified the fatality as Sergio Mazza, 38. Bonifacio said Mazza was shot dead near the Shang Grand Tower along Perea Street around 7:15 a.m. A radio dzMM report said Mazza died of a gunshot wound in the head. It said that crime scene investigators have recovered 3 spent shells from a .22 revolver.
