Damn. That's awful.
The only thing that the story gives are suggestions though. It looks like one of the classic cases of those who are like really quiet but snap one day from what the article suggests.

Narinig ko kanina may link daw yata sa terorista yan.
That could have been prevented, but they ignored the warning signs.

It could've been a changed of heart. Wrong turn though...
Exchanging emails with someone you shouldn't be exchanging emails with is poisonous...

Re: Terrorist links
So far the FBI is saying that although he had contact with a radical imam, it was decided that he was doing so for strictly research purposes. I'm more inclined to believe the other angle, where he supposedly snapped after being ordered to deploy to Iraq after dealing with soldiers experiencing post traumatic stress disorder syndrome (PTSD). He somehow got secondary PTSD because of this.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's official: We live in a frakking theocracy:
Quote:MANILA - The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday rejected Ang Ladlad for party-list accreditation on the grounds that the party advocates "sexual immorality" and "immoral doctrines."
As a moderator, I shall take this opportunity to remind you guys to please include sources, especially when posting news on controversial issues. Yes, I know the articles can be found with a quick search on google but it's the responsibility of the person that puts it up.
Thank you On the Ang Ladlad partylist issue: Quote:The 1987 Constitution of the Philippines declares: The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable. (Article II, Section 6), and, No law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed. No religious test shall be required for the exercise of civil or political rights. (Article III, Section 5).

Loli possession = possible life sentence.

What the fuck. What the fuck?
I'm not into loli or whatever. It's just plain bullshit. What, drawn people have rights too? ..Even they can't uphold the law against real pedophiles. This is political bullshit at it's finest.

Well, They just added more oil drenched firewood to the bonfire.
Redirected frustration amp. Bago sila magdeclare ng ganyan, ibalik muna nila death sentence. Para na rin kasi nilang sinabi na 'the thought is just as bad as the act' and that is so wrong kasi parang pinapalabas na magkasing-sama lang ang mga nagbabasa ng ganyang material atsaka rapists. Ang tanong: Mas maraming tao ang may ganyan sa mga PC at laptop nila kumpara sa mga convicted. Kaya ba kaming lahat ng mga kulungan nyo?

I guess everyone's heard of this now. 43 people killed in Maguindanao because of political reasons.
Quote:Maguindanao massacre This isn't the first time, sure, but I think this is really the first time in this scale. A moment of silence for these people...

Posted this on FB, but just to repeat here:
The massacre in Maguindanao is the result of years of neglect by the Manila-based government. Mindanao has been decaying for years, and if anyone tries to change the status quo from within, they get murdered. It's precisely why so many media people were covering the event. It's highly likely that nothing substantiative will come out of the investigation because the Ampatuans helped GMA win the 2004 election. |
