It's bad for jobless bums. LOL

The red Supra is what i'd pick, although i think they might look better on my alternate gender-bent self. Tongue

Oh man, I didn't realize that Clae and Supra are already being retailed here.

http://greyonesocial.multiply.com/

I've passed by their store in GB5 several times already but I just ignored it. Crap. I'm guessing shoes will be selling for around 8000-10000 though. >_< Uuuuugh. EDIT: WOW some of the Supras are selling for only 6000-7000! That's not very different from the dollar price. Damn. Bye bye monies.

Finally bought myself some hi-tops! Chose to get Gola Valiants. They're not new and probably not as awesome as the Supras or Claes. But hey, they're almost half the price and they still have the look I want.

I got the black on white ones.

That looks really good.

Sneakers are big here in China, I see a lot of people wearing different kinds (even the ones in their mid-30s). Pumas here are only about P1,000 - converted, of course.

Nikes are more expensive though, so even though they have some really nice Dunk SBs that I haven't seen back home, I think I'll just wait.

O_O 1k lang yung mga puma dyan? You sure totoo? LOL I've been reading a lot of message boards where they're really careful about extra cheap sneakers... especially ones from China. I know that Supras and Claes, which obviously aren't as mainstream as Nike etc., get bootlegged too. Tongue

Then again, if they can bootleg stealth bombers and bullet trains, they can bootleg pretty much anything. LOL

Yeah they're real. LOL It's sold in a Puma store in one of the malls (not a tiangge) here.

Who'd like some pairs, just in case I have time to pass by the mall again? I can't promise 100% that I'll be able to make it back though, but it's certainly worth a try. Just list down and put pictures up of the sneaks you prefer, and I'll try to take a look at what's available.

There's also a pretty big Puma store here. Hemp and I will be passing by on Thursday because it's on the way to the concert we're watching.

We can inquire about the rare stuff if you want.

Well me, I'm not really looking for the rare stuff (since those usually cost a lot. >_< ). But if PUMA in Canada ends up being lower than the 3000 peso price tag, ok din. Big grin

A major reason for my sort of recent preference for darker colored sneaks over white ones is because of how hard it is to clean whites.

Just read somewhere though that a great way to keep your whites fresh is by wiping them down with baby wipes every time after wearing them. I just tried it out and it really works great. Tongue It'll save a lot of scrubbing in the long run.

EDIT: Wiping them down with WINDEX works too.

Note that this only applies to sneaks with leather uppers. If it's canvas, suede, etc., this doesn't apply obviously.

Unfortunately, it's looking more and more like I won't be able to make it back to the mall, it's a bit of taxi ride from my hotel, and my flight back home is tomorrow already. Sorry for getting your hopes up guys.

But hey, now you know there are cheap Puma sneakers in China. Tongue
