Attrition rates among new-hires in call centers can be quite high. Oftentimes, the first people to go are the cocky ones who've been bouncing around from company to company. The ones who usually end up staying the longest would also often be the guys you would've never expected to pass the first week.

I think I just humiliated myself for shouting "SHIT!" while we were eating on Shakey's. I was cleaning this sign pen with alcohol and tried to check if the pen cover's wet. It turned out to be fucking wet; I blew it, and an alcohol drop went right through my fucking eye.

I'm shocked he won by such a big margin. Really happy for Pacquiao, but I didn't think he would even win. It's a bit like the Lesnar-Couture fight.

IMO It looked like hoya didnt really care whether he wins or loses. I think he's getting a really big chunk of money regardless..that issue has been talked about shortly after he accepted the bout.

Alright, this really sucks... DT would know the feeling especially. XD

So I went and bought one of the PS3 game slots from him, right? Got Street Fighter: HD and Megaman 9 downloaded and installed properly. Tekken DR, on the other hand, decided to be a big fat pain in the ass.

After leaving it to download overnight, I woke up today to install the game. I got this really cute error - 80029564, saying the game won't install. Googling the problem came up with many suggestions: to redownload the game but not in background mode (which I'm pretty sure I can't do - bought just one slot for this game)... change some of the network settings... backup + reinstall... and others. But this post was pretty convincing, saying there's a problem with the 40GB drives Sony produces.

So sorry guys, no Tekken for me until I replace the drive with bigger one. I was planning to do this anyway. Anyone selling a 120GB 2.5 SATA HD?

i did some goooggling in your problem mix and i found out that your problem mainly revolves around the slowness of the internet.

if you have a router, don't use it and directly connect the ps3 to the ethernet cable as bandwidth must be dedicated to the download. Dont download in the background and do those other suggestion just to make sure, but the main cause of this is the speed of the net as you are downloading a big file it cause to lag and files are corrupted in the proceedure.

Or try bringing your rig to someone you know that has a powerthirst connection that can DL large files at a short ammount of time.

Thanks for the tips. Like the guy in the forum topic you linked, I've successfully downloaded larger files before (Mirror's Edge demo - 800 MB, Siren Episode 1 - 1 GB), even while torrents were running in the other PCs in the house, and they installed fine. I'm having trouble with a specific game, in this case Tekken.

Wireless is really the only option for the PS3 due to the layout of my house, so the only way I have left will be to download it directly, not in the background. I really hope that works.

I woke up a full hour earlier than normal to try an early morning jog for stamina build-up. Damn, I can't remember the last time the cold morning air felt so good, especially after a 2 km run. I think I just discovered a new morning habit.\

Btw, the match is this January 10. It'll be the Kamao school veterans (me included) against the school's newer crop of recruits from admu. I hear their newbs have a lot of potential, but they're half-hearted with their practice, and haven't developed the "killing intent" that's essential in combat. Consider this their wakeup call - most of them were built for speed and agility, whilst I've been training for bulk and endurance. The program I'm using now up until the fight should also help add speed.

Basically if I can charge in and corner them, it'll look like they're getting mauled by a very, very angry bear
