I don't know. Maybe we can check on the occupancy of the MMDA Gwapotels, which is a very similar service. That'd be a start.

I think so. That's actually golden, a room with internet, electricity and stuff.

It's a good place, but you're living the worst living condition at the same time.

LOL Japan's worst still looks pretty good compared to our worst. But yeah, my Tokyo tour guide basically ranted all day long about how Japan's economy has been on a steady downhill.

Damn I didn't know that Danny Choo was the son of a famous designer! But still, he's a self-made man. He's living the otaku dream, successfully doing professional blogging, and heck, he even has a wife that understands (or at least tolerates) his otakuness.

Michael Moore. I used to think he was all that...until I realized just how much he kept sensationalizing the facts.

'Tis Ann Coulter with a beard...and 100 extra pounds.

Pirates shoot each other on hijaked ship

Quote:RIVAL Somali pirates arguing over what to do with a hijacked Ukrainian ship and its cargo of 33 tanks engaged in a shootout on board, killing three of their number, a maritime group said today.

Pirates seized the MV Faina off the Somali coast last week and have demanded $US20m ($24.9m) in ransom.

US navy ships are within sight of the boat, whose capture has sparked controversy over the destination of its military cargo and thrown an international spotlight on rampant piracy in one of the world's busiest shipping areas.

Andrew Mwangura, of the East African Seafarers' Assistance Programme, said rival factions among the roughly 50 pirates guarding the Faina had argued over whether to give in to international pressure to free the cargo and 20-man crew.

"There was a misunderstanding yesterday between the moderates and the radicals on board who do not want to listen to anyone," said Mr Mwangura, whose Kenya-based group is monitoring the saga via relatives of the crew and the pirates.

"The moderates want to back-peddle. The Americans are close, so everyone is tense. There was a shootout and three of the pirates were shot dead."

The U.S. navy has said the ship, which was heading for Kenya's Mombasa port, was carrying T-72 tanks, grenade-launchers and ammunition ultimately bound for south Sudan via Kenya.

How'd that saying go again? That there is no honor among thieves?

I am both saddened and enraged by this article Chair:

Crowd jeers suicidal jumper to his death

Quote:JEERING onlookers goaded a teenager in Britain to jump to his death, undermining police efforts to talk him down, and then took pictures of the body.

Yesterday as 17-year-old Shaun Dykes prepared to jump from the top of a multi-storey carpark in Derby, northern England, spectators allegedly shouted to him: "How far can you bounce?", the UK's MailOnline reports.

As Mr Dykes hesitated for three hours on the ledge while police unsuccessfully tried to reason him out of taking his life, teenagers who had gathered below shouted "Jump" and "Get on with it", according to police and witnesses.

Then after Mr Dykes lay in a crumpled heap on the pavement the same hecklers rushed out from behind the police cordon to take photos of the body.

"When he (Dykes) fell, lots of people were screaming and crying but there were several groups of youths who ran from behind the cordon and looked like they were taking pictures with their mobile phones," a local shopkeeper was quoted as telling the MailOnline.

"I found that sickening - why would anyone want to take pictures of something like that?"

Mr Dykes was believed to have been suffering from depression and struggling to overcome a relationship breakdown.

Superintendent Andy Hough, of Derbyshire police, said he was disappointed and disturbed by the people heard encouraging Mr Dykes to jump.

"I find it a disturbing and shocking reflection on society when people feel inclined to do that," Supt Hough told the MailOnline.

"Negotiators were working with the man threatening to jump and it was their job to talk to him in the hope of changing his mind.

"We really need the public to work with us, not against us. It was a very disappointing situation."

It's times like these that I wonder: Where the bloody hell are the abusive riot cops, baton rounds,, water cannons, and tear gas when you actually need them? Those kids deserve a good beating, and maybe a few weeks in the slammer to straighten them out.

Shouldn't they get arrested for interfering with the negotiators and cops?

The cops will have to do some pest control, otherwise, society is indeed going to hell. XD
