May dalawang garuga hammers, yung raven tsaka wolf torrents. Meron ako nun kasi madali lang siyang gawin, kaso medyo mahina siya kumpara sa ibang mga hammer na maigagawa sa punto ng game. Mataas nga ung crit rate niya, kaso lang sobrang kapos naman sa average damage. Tsaka isa lang ata yung upgrade option nun.

1. Get an armor set with reckless abandon to give you the expert skill in order to negate the negative effect of the tigrex equipment. The armor set itself in s-rank is not bad too, just that I think it makes you look a bit like Lion-O from the Thundercats. Sorry if that cartoon is too old for you

2. Power extracts, I get them from the dual gyp HR5 mission. Dual missions = lower def (and hp?) for the individual targets. 5-8 power extracts in around 20 minutes with the onslaught hammer. Trap the purple, kill and carve the normal gyp.

3. Elder mission/HR3 and below rathians, just break the head (cut the tail if you want) and capture. I find it easiest to kill with a hammer. You can just keep on resetting if you don't get what you want. Remember to pat your pig! It raises rare drop rates

4. Silver Los = HR6. Fun!

5. Twin Flames (fire), 6 rathalos and rathian scales ea. + 2 fire wyvern marrow. Easy to get marrows from pokke farm. 500 pt. forest and hills trenya.

Double Dragon (2 lao scale, 2 lao shell, 5 dark piece). Dark piece and stones are from the pokke farm cave with the giant sword, which you mine by exchanging elder dragon bones

Edit: Quick math hunter freedom (MHF2) note, since I wanted to be sure and I didn't want to sound like I was talking out my ass.

(With expert +2), after 10 statistical hits

Garuga (Wolf Torrent): 936, 50% aff.

936(5)+1170(5) = 4680 + 5850 = 10530 damage

Onslaught: 1092, 20% aff.

1092(8)+1365(2) = 8736 + 2730 = 11466 damage

*Rant* I was able to solo the HR6 shen gaoren. Got too excited to take the pic below that I forgot to take the reward items.



In other words, the kill was wasted >_<

BTW, I've been killing shen gaoren to get a hunting horn that can give other hunters dragon wind resist. With it, I was thinking of conducting an HR6 Kushala Daora massacre on Sat. I'm having a bit of trouble with it.

I even got a pink parasol as a weapon to pair it with!

high affinity = limp monster.

Affinity = chance to land a critical hit, which means raw damage x 1.25
It does not affect the chances of your weapon bouncing off monsters. That's the sharpness function, where blue then white is the highest.

The major difference I noticed was of course the felyne helpers, and that almost all armor sets were nerfed. The english patch groups have done a great job, and most all the essential information has been translated already.

List of things to do:

1. Get equipment upgrades.
2. Learn felyne system.
3. Beat everything up solo.

Took a break from MGS4 to play MHP2G for a while. You seem to have forgotten to say that there are actually elder felyne quests beside the village elder to ease the transition into MHP2G?

I also want to tell you that you suck. I found out about the felyne elder quests after getting utterly flattened by the purple daimyo and the giant green monkey because I couldn't do nearly enough damage nor did I have the armor for it. If you did transition from HR6 to HR8 directly without doing the felyne elder quests, the only thing I can say is that you're probably on the top tier of Monster Hunter players and playing too much is bad for you.

Uh. Thanks for the complement? Luckily Akantor armor's been able to hold up in HR7 if buffed with kitchen and armor seeds. I'm at the naruga urgent now but I don't want to try it without getting the G Garuga hammer first. Purple sharpness (x1.5) and 40% crit on the onslaught upgrade (blacksmith) because of the Akantor armor helped a lot though.

The big green conga and the purple daimyo nearly killed me with their new moves. Had one potion left on the daimyo mission before trapping it. There's no denying MHP2G is sadistic in its difficulty. -_-

The reason I didn't post about the felyne elder quests was that I didn't know about them at first. Right now I'm doing my own felyne warrior step leveling guide, which I can post if you want.
