So I was playing around yesterday with LR, trying out some new stuff. Originally, this had an energy shotgun, just to see if it could work. It doesn't. For one thing, energy shotguns are totally useless even within their range. They dealt only like 200 points of damage in my tests. Ick. Another quirk with them is that while the energy pellets do somehow home in on the target, by the time they get there they'd have spread too much to be of any threat.

So, what to do when energy weapons fail you? Find better ones, like the Shade here. Definitely has a much longer effective range than the Wyverns, and is actually effective at all. Wyrm provides great support fire, even outside the range of the Shade. Which brings me to the long reach weapons.

The MV's been proven to be top tier, but the Jikyoh hasn't. Granted, the extensions will serve as more of a distraction for the real hard-hitters to connect, but once in a while they do get in also, which is always good.

I haven't tested this out against a person yet, but I'm willing to say that it's going to do well.

Expect another variant soon (oh noes wanzerfreak style! Tongue). That one's going to have OB, and a shottie maybe.

Hit the nail on the head there man. I'm using SP on the variant. And UL2 + G91. Still trying to find some way to keep it cool, like what this guy over here managed to do.

Well, how does Nix's tourney combo, the RS and GRIFFON sound? Its probably got a better effective range amd allows you to put another 69H in the right hand hanger.

You're right man, that is the Fudoh, most probably without the EC optional part to help refresh. I tested it out. G91 does not run that cool, even with his frame parts all tuned to cooling (which is quite a waste of tunes), heat still climbs up to levels greater than what he showed in the vid, especially when boosting while OBing.

I now have found my respect for the Fudoh once again. I remember my staple used this so much in Nexus (lol Atlas + Gull + Fudoh). Only problem is how to fit it on a lightweight. Tongue

I'll think about the combo Rick, but as I said, I'd like the next variant to be a CQC fighter. Coming soon.

Took me a while to find a setup I was comfortable with... as it turned out, it was the frame I was using the whole time.

Hitman Mk.II

Core Frame:
S2 | UL2 | Gibbon | Dingo
0,0,4,6,0 | 0,2,4,4,0 | 0,3,7,0,0 | 0,3,7,0,0
Internal Systems:
Vulture2 | F73H | Fudoh | Ananda
0,0,6,4 | ~ | 0,10,0 | 0,0,10
Armaments and Countermeasures:
- | Gar | Nymphe | RA | SP | R3 | 69H | 69H
Optional Enhancements:
Amino, ES, SS, LA, L+, Codon, R+, Marishi
Paint Scheme: Iced Mk.II ("The Trenchcoat")
General: 130,80,50 | 35,35,35 | 110,110,110 | 40,40,40 | 110,80,65
Weapon Color:
General: Black

The key change here, like I said before, is the addition of OB. But lo and behold, no more Lotus. I've had enough of that gen.

Fudoh's relatively high condenser cap combined with its low calorific value make it an ideal generator for the ACs that can handle its weight. And when you put on the Vulture2 to erase any signs of self-heating, you'll find that the combo's another pretty close approximation of Silent Line OB (long duration, low heat even when charging up, etc., care of any OB core + UN/8 or Fleet + ROZ). maitreya and NiX were the first ones among us, I believe, to find a similar low-heat setup in LR, with the Rakan + B81 + Lotus. This one is pretty much the same. Low heat for a pretty long time boosting.

What else is there to say about the weapons? R3 for a steady stream of support fire, bing bing bing, preferably while spamming the crap out of the Nymphe + Gar. SP for the killer shot when up close. It's pretty satisfying to hear its signature crack and see all the pellets land in your opponent's face, hehe. Coincidentally, you can now really joust with this thing, with the BGR combo allowing longer over boosting.

Heh, I decided to scrap the older paintjob in favor of something more... uhh... Hitman-y. Trenchcoats and shotguns FTW!
