Yup, enough killpower to last a war. I use the B3 mainly for jousting. HP is there to provide a deterrent for coming close (as if the zook wasn't enough), as well as to buff up the lockbox. Nymphe + Gar provides that much needed missile support for the majority of the match, all for relatively good weight. Oh, and Urchins are very fun to lay traps with.
UL2 is fast becoming my favorite OB core too (behind the Helios). It's runs cool enough, and has OB performance close to that of the /UL. CAMS is no slouch either. Only thing is, once it breaks cooling gets thrown out of the window, so Gull has to be tuned for heat. Top speed doesn't really matter much here anyway, as I usually dodge in place and use to OB to get to places.
Buko Joe is the name I used for all my staple ACs in the past releases of Armored Core that I got to play (in PP, MOA, NX and NB). It was always a lightweight, carrying some high stun weapon. I figured it was high time that it was recreated in LR. After I complete SL I'll do one there too. The funny thing is, I haven't posted his previous renditions anywhere up to now. Well, since you guys get the cultural reference anyway, this is the best place to start.
Edits in red.
Here's a video of it in action (I lose though).

i will never forget the day some turd called me "a noob who doesn't know how to use a zook." )
anyway, i think the B2 is boring for jousting. the GIANT, on the other hand, combined that with the urchin and the power of TELEKINESIS....nyum nyum nyum.
it's like throwing a bunch of coconuts at your opponents face.

Umm... B3 yung gamit ko.
B3 has enough velocity and ammunition behind it to kill an AC by its lonesome (or at least bring it to near 0 AP). The Giant and the Giant2 are a good zooks, but at the cost of too few ammo and a very heavy equip weight. If this frame could have held any more weight it'd be a toss-up between the B3, BP and the Giant2. As it stands, however...

My thoughts exactly.

I tried your AC out (without URCHIN though, cuz insides don't do me good because of TYPE B )! It's pretty fun to use.
High defense for a lightweight, good speed, lotsa ammo.
Right now, the only modification I can suggest is tuning LOTUS to (0,8,2). The extra condenser cap will help you if ever you're gonna joust from a farther distance.

i think i may have another reason to beat up the AI again. i'm thinking of trying this thing out with the giant, elf3, and urchins. i can see it now....joust with the zook, strike with the blade, and throw a handful of bombs at the the enemy's face. )
....and this will probably be the first time i'll use type A controls.

Noooo, Buko Joe isn't complete without the Urchins!
Ah, well. Hindi naman talaga viable ang mines kapag type B eh. Deeks pwede pa, pero mines hindi na masyado.
That tune suggestion though, I think it just made this design ten times better. An additional 1500 to condenser capacity doesn't hurt refresh that much after all.

Hey that's a good idea. I use the Urchins mainly to lay zones of death around the other guy's area of movement, but I guess stuffing their face with them is good too. )
Let us know how the experiment with the Giant works out.

I tried your design a few times against Tim and I must say it's very nice.
The B3 is a lot more accurate than I thought it was, and the XS is very forgiving with hard landings. The refresh for the whole frame is pretty nice too. I just tuned a little more for cooling though, but that's just me. Good job.
EDIT - forgot to say that this: I'm sure the designing would be more complete with the URCHIN, but alas, I cannot use Type A. Hahah
EDIT 2 - Ah... and yeah the XS is one tough cookie to break!

Yeah, those were the legs I was thinking about when I posted something in maitreya's Exzas Alpha. XS, not Panther.

i tried to use type a controls this afternoon....
i pretty much gave up after 2 minutes. hehehe, sorry.
but for what it's worth,
Bruiser usually takes off 1600-1800+ ap from big fat daddy's with the primer-enhanced elf3. i have tried the giant on big fatty daddy before, and i think i did around 300-400+ -ish damage with it. put those two values together and you'd get around 2200+ damage. how much total damage can you get from the giant+elf3+primer+a72f+urchin (assuming most of them sticky bombs hit) on a heavy humanoid biped frame is anyone's guess....but starting of at 2200+ ain't bad, not to mention all that heat.

2200+ damage... yum.
But still, considering the combined defense of any AC, the best option would be to mix shell and energy damage when building. Maybe I'll try to squeeze in some in a future rendition of this AC.

Well yeah TACOs (combining jousting a stun weapon with a slash) are always potentially nasty. However, they're a lot harder to do now. Still, if you can land a succesful taco, that's some serious pain.

@GH: That pic...
The Taco.. Definition: Successive (to the point of it almost being simultaneous) strike from a high-power weapon plus a melee blade strike, usually during or right after OB. Examples: OB+GL+PoD = Death. Or, OB+Missile+Extensions+Slash=l337 haXXor. Or, OB+Zook+Slash=pwnge.
FTW!!! LOL! Sorry, couldn't help it.

anyway,
i haven't seen a spread zook+ energy shottie before combo.
"OB+GL+PoD"
yeah! that one. the stun of the GL is so great tha there's always a good of the poke of doom hitting it's mark.
