Hm. Just wondering what's a good custom shell, other than Litestep. Tongue

I just want to try out something new.

If you want a new OS altogether, get <a href='http://www.ubuntu.com/' target='_blank'>Ubuntu</a>, a newbie-friendly Linux distribution. It's got the GNOME desktop, which is quite glassy. Shades

Of course you'll have to partition your hard drive to install it. Not to mention that while Linux is quickly gaining compatibility with a lot of programs, it must be admitted that it's still not compatible with ALL of them. Windows still has that on Linux I'm afraid.
