Netbooks

The 1 (or is it 2)GB RAM cap on the netbook classification is what's pissing me off right now though.

Just wondering, why? The processor is too slow to fully utilize the 2gb worth of RAM anyway. I was actually curious about the same thing, so I check the peak (commit charge) ram usage every now and then when stressing the computer out; the highest I've ever gotten was about 1.1gb. I think it was when I opened a shitload of tabs on firefox.

There, the current netbook processors are pretty sad too. So maybe when netbooks grow up some more. I just want a little extra computing power for times when I wanna do a bit more than what a net book can even if that won't be often.
