Premiers: September 24, 2007 on GMA7

So yeah, a local sentai-series. There will be a Shaider sequel... Locally made and is under license by Toei, the original producers of the series. I really don't know how this'll turn out though, it might end up something like the Lupin series (which I haven't seen in all honesty) they made. I hope they make it on the level on the Kamen Rider series though

if its licensed then there should be a degree of quality contol I think the japs won't let the shaider series be stained by a poor sequel I think this would turn out to be good even in a small degree...

anyway if it hits then it would be a reprieve to all the tele novela and fantasy stuff...

the only problem is any bias that we have concerning our own shows.

Well I suppose it's nice to see a little variety in Philippine television. I'm sick of all the drama soaps involving the same plots each and every time.

sihyet. Parang wiggles na. Pinoy star trek hahaha. Bat Zaido? Dapat Bhajune.

I guess there's less risk remaking a well known sentai character rather than creating our own.

I just hope this would be different ... hmmm shaider didn't focus on any love interest hope this one would to ... but that would just be wishfull thinking ... just as singing is standard for indian movies / shows ... our standard is a love story on everything... nothing wrong but the monotonous way we do it is boring already...

I'm having second thoughts about not watching this though...

It's like judging it too early but, what's with the RGB color scheme?
It's too overly common. Plus, all their armor look the same...

It'd be hard to distinguish them from each other when changed to grayscale.

But still...
It'd be good that there's finally some variance in Phillipine shows.

Kung buhay lang lola ko, she would be very happy to see this.

I've watching this for a few days now...
And the big thing I've noticed is that it seems like GMA7's trying to exert too much effort.
Too much in fact, that the show feels corny.

But still, it may be a little early to say such things.

now I realize all of it, because all of us grew up with Shaider and we are all concerned on the franchise and story of it. Now I like to declare that, we must exclude Zaido out of the metal hero line. Its a big disappointment on the story telling and making SHAIDER fails in the very beginning of the original japanese series. They should have created new villains and new names of it.

If a nood would be reading the same review, they'd ask:
"Eh bakit natapos agad yung Lastikman? Eh di ibig sabihin nun hindi nag-rate yung palabas."
Translated as: "Then why did Lastikman end so quickly? Then it means the show didn't rate."

My answer would be: Lastikman ended (just this last friday) quite early because it was originally intended for ABS-CBN's Komiks Slot, which airs every Saturday and was originally intended to run right after Pedro Penduko finishes.

I naver watched Zaido again after it's second week...
What's running around in my mind is, GMA7's destroyed the story.

Zaido earned a 3/10 rating from us here. Even my youngest brother (9yo) disapproves of the show.
