I watched the movie last night. Overall it was good, but not great.
Storywise, it's all good. I think we all now just how genius Neil Gaiman's stories can be. It's a refreshing take on the fairy tale genre, with the archetypal characters all present but refreshed in new ways via their attributes. The acting of the cast was really good too, except for maybe Michelle Pfeiffer in some of her bits. What really prevented the movie from taking off was the way some of the integral scenes weren't really shown, leading to a disconnect between earlier and later events.
I'd still recommend it though. Just don't expect to be blown away.
