I know recently that my designs have been banal, commonplace, and kinda boring, so I decided to venture out into something a bit more original, but still outright functional, and I feel this has done it for me.

Pilot Name: Crimson
AC Name: Fortazela (Means Stronghold in Spanish)

Head: CR-YH70S2 (0/0/2/8/0)
Core: CR-C06U5 (0/3/0/7/0)
Arms: CR-A92XS (3/2/0/5/0)
Legs: LH01-LYNX (0/10/0/0/0)
Booster: B03-VULTURE2 (0/6/4/0)
FCS: CR-F73H
Generator: CR-G91 (0/7/3)
Radiator: ANANDA
Inside: NONE
Extension: CR-E92RM3
Back Unit R: CR-WB69RA
Back Unit L: KINNARA
Arm Unit R: WR06H-GHOST2
Arm Unit L: WH05M-SYLPH

Arm Unit R Hanger: WH05M-SLYPH
Arm Unit L Hanger: CR-WH69H

O01-AMINO, CR-O69ES, SS, CR-O75LA, CR-O79L+, O03-CODON,
MARISHI

I also wanted this AC to look aestetically (sp?) pleasing to the eye and thats what it is for the paint scheme is pretty darn sexy Tongue

Paint Scheme:
Base: (110/110/100)
Aid: (70/80/80)
Optional: (35/50/50)
Detail: (200/40/40)
Joint: (200/100/70)

Weapons Color:
All Black

I was considering the 73H for the FCS since the sideways lock would benefit me more, but I will have to test that out and see, but a 2nd opinion would be nice.

Some things are here are common just because I couldnt bring myself to getting rid of them lol.

The basis of this AC is to be fast and be able to engage in CQC effective and the hand combo grants me that and on top of that, the frame is really durable. The legs usually dont break until late in the match when it is already decided and the Core, despite popular belief, is actually pretty good. The XS for the drain and for how it compliments the rest of the frame (looks wise)

The Weapons promote closer ranged battling.

Enjoy.

*EDIT*
After talking with some of my peoples from ACO they told me try the Slyph instead of the Peryton and when I did try, I was quite impressed at how it did so I decided to stick with it.

*DOUBLE EDIT*
I decided to forego the Roc2 in the hangers since that was my only EN weapon and it was in the hanger so I dont think it was needed and it gives me a few more optionals because I can drop the Golgi now and equip and SS to increase my Stability

Feels good...

A handgun + pulse pistol AC...

A real Cowboy in my opinion...

Fortaleza sound like Hortaleza...
It's a company here which sells beauty products and sharpens -to be sharpened objects-...

Thx Serene for the compliments

This AC does feel good, better than I first thought when I made this and I really enjoy using this.

Its fast, low drain, and 8500+ AP, which is what I look for in a good AC.

I am recently working with the Satyros over the Kinnara and so far I like the results of that.

It'll get better the more you use it...
Because of course, you'll see more bugs to debug...

One thing is, I suggets you take out RA if you thik you don't really need it...
It affects your AC's overall drain and of course you generator's recovery time...

Even just the RA, gives a handicap with speed and as I've said rcovery time...

What you say is true, but I like the radar as i like to know where my opponent is at all times. The decrease in speed and drain is so minimal that it doesnt effect me all that much.

It has like 417 speed and barely above 7000 drain, leaving me with 4000+ surplus energy.

Have you tried putting in the U4 instead of the U5? U5 has a very high drain, and this AC'll need all the energy it can get for CQC fights. Anyway, the DEF stats of U4 and U5 aren't that different.

I like your idea of a unique AC. Smile

I did think of the U4, but that is a very cookie core and on top of that the blocky look it had didnt look right on the AC. I wanted this AC to look good to the eye as well as be function and a little more original than what I have built in the past.

I know the U4 is greater than the U5 in almost every way, but the U5 still isnt a bad core in general. Think of it as the Atlas of the standard cores...overlooked and shuned upon, but nice when given a proper shot.

The drain on this AC is barely above 7k (with Kinnara equipped) and around 6800 with the Satyros equipped, it just depends on what you wanna have as your missile launcher, and with 4000 surplus EN on the g91 and vulture2, I recover energy quickly making prolonged boosting (mostly in the air against aerial opponents like Zinaida) not so bad.

Oh, I forgot about the aesthetics part. Tongue Sorry.

On the Satyros - Kinnara. Satyros is deadly when aimed properly, and it's effective from mid-close range. Kinnara at close range is deadly if it hits, or will distract opponents. At mid range, Kinnara is good distraction.

Since this AC is mostly a CQC-type, why won't you settle for Satyros? At least the AC's got some mid-range weapon in case it's difficult to get close (well, Kinnara can distract opponents mid-range, and that'll allow you to move in).

I have been working with them both and they both have their ups and downs in the effectiveness department. The Satyros is more effective at mid range than the Kinnara and deals good damage, but doesnt really give me chance to move in for CQC. It also locks on pretty low at closer range making it not good up close.

The Kinnara is great up close, like at 250 and below because more of the missiles will hit, but couldnt hit the broad site of a barn at longer ranges. If I have the upper hand or cant in closer, I would use the Kinnara as a distraction, like you said, to get closer to unleash pain with the arm combo.

All in all, I feel the Kinnara works better with the 73H and for the attack strategy of this particular AC.

After messing around with it a little bit myself, I have to say that I like it. I haven't got around to trying the Satyros on there so I can't give any second opinions on that. I have to say that it does suit your generally aggressive playstyle.

The design itself is energy efficient as is. I was wondering if you tried messing around with the internals to increase the speed. Right now I think that switching to the Lotus wouldn't hurt it that much in that you sacrifice some of the extra EN for some more speed which would help. The fact that you're not using any EN weapons also makes that a valid option IMO.

That's my two cents.

If this is a purely close-quarters AC, then definitely go with the KINNARA. It can even block your enemy's view while you try to move in close.

However, if you want a little mid-long-range spam capability, then SATYROS is the one you want.

I ultimately went with the Kinnara because it is much better at close range which is what the AC excels at, so Kinnara it is.

Actually, don't worry about that last change. After messing around with it a little more and knowing your aggressive style of play, you'll need all the energy you can get. I guess there really isn't much to change outside the possible replacement of the Kinnara with the Satyros.
