Aim Accuracy and Aim Adjust Time

Are these stats worth investing in? I'm hoping they're bogus because they're messing up my choices for which arm to choose. I've tried asking around but I just haven't gotten any conclusive answers. From what I hear, and based on some experience, these stats don't seem to make that big a difference. However, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter just to make sure.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to be bogus this time around. Although they may not seem to have that big of an effect, I believe the upsides of investing tunes or at least choosing arms which are high in accuracy are worth it. I think they affect:

1. Response time of the left arm when firing (not too sure about this one though, I'll test more)
2. Lock time of the FCS, especially for lefty weapons (again, not too sure, subject to more testing)
3. Accuracy, especially from long range
4. Blading

That's it, I think. Again, they may or may not have that big of an effect (I'll post definitive results later when I've fully tested it... argh babalikan ko pa ang LR , eh nasa SL na ako :bigsmile, but I think they overshadow equipping arms for the sake of less drain, as most mid arms are.

But since Accuracy is more of like a pilot's skill...
We may not really notice it...

for most weapons, accuracy decreases drastically past the ~200 or ~250m mark. accuracy in arms isn't a worthwhile stat to devote tunes to, IMHO.

best way to get high accuracy % is to practice flanking and get the enemy from the side or even back if you can. spamming weapons from the front is a good way to waste ammo unless you equip a weapon with naturally high accuracy or get right in their face.

Nothing about the tuning or tactics... I'm merely wondering if arms with a higher base stat for aim accuracy and aim adjust time can make shots statistically hit more.

Maybe, maybe not. I've tried various weapons on several arms. All produced varying results.

Maybe it's just the speed of the ammunition that counts? I noticed that high-velocity rounds usually hit more than others. Compare the mini 'sawa and the Karasawa and see which is more accurate.

Just an idea of mine.

We already know that the muzzle velocity of projectiles increases their accuracy, aside from a weapon's own tracking properties of course. However, once again, the issue at hand is whether varying arms can make the same weapon hit more consistently... >_<

well, i have 2 AC's using the same pair of GIBBON arms. one has the RS equipped and the other has the SHADE and neither has given me any problems, even on vs mode.

i still think you shouldn't stress yourself too much on the accuracy arm stat.

If you go close range, Accuracy and adjust time isn't much of a concern or if you're usig back weapons.

However, it seems to be a different story if you're using a long range AC.

I dunno if it effects the spread of some weapons, though it seems to me it does effect it. I'll test it out.

i don't know about you guys but i hit more often with the BP on the lemur2 than the gibbon.

i think the accuracy stat refers to how fast the arms can aquire a lead on the target..i think it works like those horizontal reticles in the lockbox of those old-school back cannons.

Aiming accuracy tunes... it really depends on what kind of weapon you are using... if you are using a linear rifle... you will not notice the aiming accuracy and aim adjust time... if you are using a machinegun like the M2 or Pixie,you will notice the difference with the aiming accuracy and aim adjust... It also depends on the Pilot you are up against and your piloting skills. Why the pilot... if he is malikot, you will see the aiming accuracy come into play... if he plays like an MT the difference will not be noticed... if he is a good player on the other hand...

I suggest that you get arms that are good in aiming accuracy... if you blade then a combination of both... but i really do not add any stats to aiming accuracy... better change the arms you are working with... if you like those arms and dont want to change... then i suggest that you tune it specifically to your needs... Usually i tune cooling, def energy and def shell... OB Booster rocks....

although I have no idea what this stat does, I'm sure there's a purpose to it. It wouldn't be there if it didn't, right?........RIGHT?!?!

This isn't always the case.

It's not the first time that FROM has put stats that don't do anything. The cooling stats from frame parts in Silent Line for example did nothing as well.
