RIP Sad

His achievements are so much more important than Steve Jobs' but it's really SAD that there's almost no recognition for this in mainstream media.

Actually, I think I can say with certainty that what Steve Jobs did was to build on what this man started, and to market it to the commons.

Hahah yup. The world values flair and controversy over true accomplishment.

RIP dmr. Sad

I hate C, but I can definitely appreciate how its low, almost-assembly-language level capabilities opened up the opportunity for a lot of other fourth-generation programming languages to arise. Also, I wonder how different it would have turned out without UNIX in the 70s.

I hope James Gosling stays healthy Ninja

He was very nearly killed at the freak airshow crash in Nevada last month, the plane crashed less than 50 feet away from him.

There. Another dead guy with his own topic. Topics get their own threads based on their potential to generate replies. I didn't think anyone would even bother to reply.

No need to be a smart ass all the time, Andrew. It doesn't do anyone any good. And it most especially doesn't do you any good.

70. Well at least it's of old age. I wonder who's gonna change the world after them.
