yeah, thanks for pointing that out. the sad part is she seemed intent on keeping that, along with the LB4.

Ah, hell. It's all good though, I'm sure Tim won't mind us hijacking his thread. We are getting to discuss some pretty technical things after all.

You see? This is the difference between our forums and ACO. We get to talk more freely, because we know each other.

I LOVE THIS BOARD! LOL

Whoa.. 2 pages in around 24 hours of posting time.. Not bad. Hahaha!

Well, I certainly don't mind the side tracking (I have my doubts.. haha, just kidding) of the main topic. You guys are definitely discussing good points on another fighting style for ACs. Maybe someone can make another thread in the discussion forum to make it more formal.

Adrian got the idea of the AC: "...lefty lineargun/vert-orbits. the stun of the linear gun sets up for the orbits and verts." My original intent was as NiX said, OB jousting with the RLA to stun them to increase the probability of making the RM3 hit, for more stun, then the back weapons come in.

I've tried the Harpy's on a heavy, and it can work. I know heavies can still dodge orbits, but the RLA is meant to slow them down.

I can't look into other weapon combos for this design for the next five or so days since I'm dorming near school. I'll look into other possible combos when I get back to my PS2. Thanks for the input guys, keep it up. Haha

As for the G91 --> LOTUS, I don't whore the OB early on; use it only for OB jousting with the back weapons. But once I'm out of extensions and back weapons, I use the OB more. A lot of my OB manuevers with this AC uses mid-long range boosting, so I need the extra e-bar. Also, this AC needs the energy to maintain an boosing then, OB joust PLUS orbit firing. That's pretty much is the reason why I kept the G91. Also, the G91 + Vulture2 combo is almost a staple for MW boost-only designs. Those are my reasons for the G91. But, sure, I'll try the LOTUS anyway when I get home, it might be better.

And for this design, I don't want to put in the RL+RS3 design. It defeats the purpose of this design.. Err.. yeah.. Peace, man. Hahaha! And more importantly, MOST of my designs uses that arm combo, ask NiX. I want to try something new (left linear rifle naman). Haha!

anyway,

hmmm....i don't think you can slow down someone with a 9000-10000 stab rating using the RLA.

and what about jikyoh+any missle pack+any lefty?

left RLA? not bad... oh well... I've used the left RLA on my light bi-ped... together with... GAST, PIXIE3 etc., ... and... the PYTHON  (sometimes)... and other R arm guns.

other L arm guns are useful if correctly used, with the right build and weapon combination... Roll eyes

true, making left arm guns as main weapon takes skill, because of the delay...

Mmm.. Jikyoh? It's kinda easy to dodge. But it's biggest turn-off is its low ammo (5 uses). If it's to be used with back weapons and a leftie, it'd run out fast. Actually, I want to use the MGT extens (Is the serial correct? Ground torp extens). Potentially, it has the most ammo among the missile extensions, IIRC.

Ravens right...
Hard to use because of the delay...
I have an AC which has a Nioh+Karasawa Combo...
Scary Melee...
Bano nga lang sa CQC...

GT's? Pwede rin... Too heavy though...
But it's worth a try...
It may even make your AC a more mobile Dropper...

true, making left arm guns as main weapon takes skill, because of the delay...

actually, the delay can actually work for you in some left hand designs.

mostly apparent with left hand snipers and left hand bazookas

example...

when using
a left hand sniper + nymphe + missile extention
stay at around 300-400 range
wait for 2 lock ons with the nymphe

(type-B controls
press circle a split second before lanching the missiles.)

the delay is enough so the missiles and the bullet will hit at the same time.

same is true with the bazooka, only the missiles will hit first (stun) allowing the slower bazooka shell to hit.

Also when using a contant fire spam weapons like the gast and nymphe for example, just hold down both attack buttons. The AC will not put his hand down anymore, so delay is not an issue anymore. The result is a constant stream of bullets and missiles...

:excited: It's also good to think that you have a short charge time python...
I use duals the same way...
But I switched the circle with the cross button to reduce it a little...
Unfortunately, it affected my boosting...
I can't actually fire both weapons whil drifting~!
It's ok though, I got used to it.

If you're having trouble dual-gunning, try these things:

For Type B:
- use your index finger for the circle button (this is what I do)
- use the different parts of your right thumb to press square, x, and circle (this is what rick does)
- use L3 for your left hand weapons so that you can press down on L3 to shoot the left weapon, while using its analog stick to move
------
- learn to use type A. Hahah

Or you could map lefty firing to the triangle button, and weapon changing to circle. That way, you can keep your thumb on the upper left part of the pad, within easy reach of X for boosting, while being able to fire both hand weapons at the same time.

If that was confusing, here's a short summary:

X - Boost
Square - Right Arm
Triangle - Left Arm
Circle - Change Weapon

It's the setup I'm using now in SL.

Or that.
