This AC is designed for defense...
And has what I think are the best of both worlds...
Try iy out before you judge it...

A theme AC with almost 2000 energy and solid defense with hand and side shields.

makes me wonder though, how much does the side shield contribute to it's toughness.

A test request:
could you see how much AP is lost per hit. as compared to leperman's powerhouse. 1st using a solid weapon and 2nd using an energy weapon.

Compared to PowerHouse, Throne's just a little more mobile...
After ejecting Kinnara, that is...

It feels like PowerHouse is more on the shell defense...
Throne is designed for defensive balance and mobility...

But still...
Being an 80% designer, I'm happy when people use my AC's and have fun using them...
Even if their abilities are intentionally limited to a certain point...

Try this:

Eye3 (or MANTIS if you want better radar)
SELENA
A72F
COUGAR2
VULTURE2
MONJU
G91
ANANDA
None
None
KINNARA
93LR
FUTEN

(You choose the tunes and options)

Has almost 100 more shell defense, a little more for EN defense, and almost as fast. But physically doesn't not look as sexy as the original though.

Comments: Its kinnda hard to hit with the SELENAs, so I'd recommend the GAEA.. But I may be using it differently as you do (I was using it defensively, I'm not sure how it works offensively).

The design seems to revolve around outlasting opponents at timed matches with a combination of speed, armor, and high accuracy weapons to get an AP lead and consistently maintain it through out the match by continuously backpedelling. You might have trouble against high offense oriented ACs when backed into a corner where the additional fire power provided by the SELENAs are your only deterent.

I use Selena as a burst weapon at close range...
I add a forward or backward move towards my target before it fires so that the beam shoots directly at my target...
It lessens the miss chance by a little...

Eject Suiten if the enemy is using all energy weapons...
Or at end battle if the enemy is equipped with just a blade...
Eject the Kinarra after drying up...
It gains more speed that way...

You can also combine Selena with RL for support fire...
Or use Turbot with RL for heat dispersal if the enemy is using high heat weapons...
Turbot and Selena shouldn't be combined because it will be too drainy...

Anyways...
About Cougar2...
I make sure that none of my designs repeat external parts more than twice...
It's already on Seraph and Archangel...

In addition...
I will try the design you suggested, but it will not feel like the Throne anymore if I do...
Maybe I can build it and try it out for you instead...

Nah, no need to test it for me.

I have the same philosophy in AC designing where as much as possible, I don't use the same frame parts twice. LOL

Anyways...
I am looking for ways to build AC's with good looks and performance...
It may take a while, but I'm sure I can push through...
My first set is my Exceed Angels Series...

In addition...
I decided not to use the Futen...
It has good defense, yes... But it's heavy, drains energy and focuses on energy defense...

G91+Ananda...
Ananda's just light, G91 is good yet heavy...
Kongoh+R92 has good refresh and enough cooling for most boosters...
It supports energy based equipment well in my opinion...
Makes an AC grounded though...
