OK, the design works, but just not to a high degree. Here are my revisions:

Atlas -> 840/UL (0,5,5,0,0)
84M -> Gazelle (0,3,0,7,0)
Vulture2 (0,0,10,0)
Volute2 -> F73H
Lotus (0,10,0)
Ananda (0,0,10)
no extension -> RM3
Magoraga -> Kinnara
RA2 -> R3
Hiten -> Nix
Mist -> Wraith

Optionals: Amino, ES, SS, LA, L+, Codon, R+, Marishi

That was quite a lot, I know, but that should make it a whole lot better in the end. Besides, the idea's still there, just upgraded. Tongue

Atlas OB sucks. There's just no way around it.
Gazelle trumps the 84M legs in just about any important category.
F73H is best for dual gunners.
The Magoraga's kinda lacking in killpower, so I upgraded it into the Kinnara. Better with OB jousting, especially since I also put an RM3 extension in there.
The R3 is the best new rifle in its category.
Nix would allow for faster damage ability than the Hiten. Also useful when OB jousting.
Wraith is a great hanger: light, quick-firing and adequate ammo.

LOL, so it looks entirely new... what can I say? I'm sorry. :tongue:

First of all, let me clarify that I am in no way an authority when it comes to LR assembly. However, I think I'm AC-savvy enough to warrant my following opinions.

Perhaps the Gazelle's other stats are better. However, the 84M's jumping power is better than any other RJ. And IMO, the only true reason to use an RJ is for its jumping ability... otherwise, you might as well use a humanoid. With 84M's jump ability, you can instantly position yourself in the so-called blindspot/sweetspot (the area slightly above the default lockbox coverage... in other words, the area hardest to aim at). In a real match, being in that blind spot usually results in maximizing damage to the opponent while receiving minimum counterfire... a far more practical advantage, IMO. It's because of that same jump power that the Silent Line equivalent of the 84M was top tier.

Now I'm not saying that the 84M is definitively better than the Gazelle. I'm merely saying that there are factors, other than the stats on paper, that should be considered before concluding that any part is better than another.

P.S. Sorry if I composed such a long post to make such a short point. =P

change your head to the S4 and keep the SS optional part for max stability. you'll need it for an RJ design.

KINNARA is okay, but i prefer MAGORAGA for mid-range spam. just for kicks, try the SYAKATSURA micro missiles and let them fly at the apex of your jump before flanking with OB. it's morked wonders for me in human vs. weird thing is, it worked for me against the AI as well. usually the AI will be so preocupied with dodging spammed SYAKATSURA's at mid range that it will forget all about you, giving you lots of time to get into position and fire away with your primary guns.

just my two cents. or pesos.

Yes, it is better, but only by 17 more points... IMO, not enough difference to warrant a different feel for the jump, especially if you're coming from an OB slide jump. On the other hand, from the Gazelle, you get an advantage of less drain and more stability. But anyway, both are useable. The 84Ms just need, again IMO, a lighter AC to apply themselves too.

And I don't have a CD of SL with me right now, so I can't witness the pwnage of the 84M in that game. Maybe next time, pag nakuha ko na kay Jay yung CDs ko. Hahaha! :tongue:

If I'm not mistaken, an SL design equipped with the SL equivalent of 84M won a particular Japanese AC tournament. I've got vids, and ang galing... hahah. But then again, that was SL and this is LR.

Similar sa frame na yon ang design na ito.. Actually, I based it on that design. LOL!

I haven't tried the Gazelle yet, but I'm definitely changing some things. I'd probably swap the Hiten for R3, Volute2 for Monju. I'll post the edited design once I get to finalize it, more or less (sa weekend). Thanks for the input guys!

Yep. This weekend will be AC-testing weekend for us. Unless of course you're willing to go to Megamall, eh Maitreya? LOL

And yes, upon closer inspection, the Gazelle is indeed superior to the 84M in almost all categories... hahaha. Maybe I/we're just being too sentimental.
