Here is my lil story about how I got started into this game we know as Armored Core.
It was about 2 years ago and my friend told me he had this game he rented and wanted to bring to my house and he said that I would enjoy it. I naturally said 'okay' because I wanted to see this game. So what he brought over was Armored Core 2 Another Age. I was thinking to myself "Armored Core...what is this?" So we popped it into the PS2 and got started. He let me play to get accustomed to the controls then he asked me to make my own AC and I was like say wha...? So I ended up making this Heavy Reverse joint AC that was white and red, I dont remember what I named it but it did pretain to a bird. After making the AC, we ended up doing the missions where we were pitted against each other and we traded loses. We later just faced each other in the Arena until he had to go and I was disappointed. I found myself thinking about the game often. Two days later, I found myself calling Gamestop seeing if they had AC2:AA in stock. To my joy they did and I asked them to reserve it for me. Me and my mom got up there about 30 min later, to my dismay, they sold the game to someone else!!! So I looked around and found AC3 on the shelve. Silent Line was there too but it costed like $32 whereas AC3 costed $15, so I took the bargain . My friend called me later asking if he could come to my house and what he brough surprised me. He has AC2:AA in his hand, and I was like "where did you get that?" and it turns out that he got to Gamestop about 5 minutes before me asking for AA, which they so conviently had stored there because I called it in and reserved it...lol...they mistook my friend for me and they gave him the game lol. On the bright side, I did get AC3 out of the deal...I guess it was meant to be

The reason why i started playing armored core was because solitare lent me the game. Actually i did not want to play AC because i thought i out grew robots after playing Mechwarrior and its other different incarnations... I touched AC the first time with Nexus when i finished Kingdom Hearts... (November 2005) no other games to play in the house... except AC: Nexus... Gah! ok i will play if for tonight and buy a new game tom... that is what i thought... well i forgot about buying a new game the next day and just wanted to finish AC: Nexus... finished it in 4 days... and the second disk with all the parts in 2 weeks... so certified AC Addict ako nun... and nothing but ninebreaker for the next 3 months and kicking Solitaire's butt and my other friends in college playing AC... unfortunately it was a heavy blow on their egos and all of them quit aside from Solitaire and I... so i was desperate to find other players... posting in ACO for players in manila... alas no reply for 2 months that i posted it in ACO... then i sort of gave up playing because i was busy... then i checked ACO and saw a message from GodHand saying to look what i had done... well ok i'm back in playing AC and training in AC because there are a lot of people here now in manila that play! So another reason why i entered AC is you guys!!! Thanks!!!!!!
PS: oh and im playing AC just in case i get a quarter pounder with cheese meal ahehehe!!!

I don't have a really long story for why I got into AC. My dad bought a PS2 for his birthday, but he hardly ever used it. Then one Saturday I decided to go to Blockbusters and see if I could find something worth renting. At the time I was into mecha-based anime, so what caught my eye after strolling down the rows of games was AC2:AA.
After messing around with it for a while, I decided to go up to a certain friend's house and you can probably figure out the rest by reading the post 3 posts before mine, lol. Yeah, I went up to Crim's house and he was talking about me. ...Skip ahead a couple of months and AC2:AA was collecting dust and we were both playing AC3. That's probably when my first real experience with AC began since I really couldn't play anyone when I was playing AA. The funny thing is that even though I was the one that got him hooked on AC, he's better than me at it, more or less. |
