I'm a big fan of this series. I've read most of its 200+ chapters of manga. I've never seen the anime though.

Here's one seriously mature manga title.

Particularly because of the level of gore and nudity.

However, it's all done in good taste. The artwork is also extraordinary.

I used to wait for every new chapter to come out but eventually I got tired because of how the mangaka was always late for his releases (same thing with Hunter x Hunter...)...

Anyways yeah, are there other fans here?

I only watched Gantz volume 1 DVD. If you liked the manga i recommend you watch the anime its really funny the main character is just purely perverted.

And I recommend that you read the manga.

I would watch the anime, but with my dial-up connection, downloading it will be impossible. And since Gantz isn't that popular, finding a copy of it around here will be difficult.

Kurono will be perverted wherever he is. ) The manga has a lot more gore and nudity than the anime though. I'm sure about that even if I haven't seen the anime.

But actually, I wouldn't consider the main character as perverted. What's great about Gantz is that at first glance, you'll think the characters are sickos. But when you give it some more thought, you'll realize that they're actually very realistic illustrations of human nature.

That realistic portrayal of human nature is what separates GANTZ from other anime.
the anime also has a lot of blood and gore its got flying heads, bodies being ripped apart and nosebleedings etc. im not sure about the nudity, so far i've only seen boobs. the anime version is a little clean compared to the detailed art of the manga. try asking comic quest if they have the anime.

Well there're more than boobs in the manga, but nothing totally explicit.

Hahah from the very first episode, there already are flying heads. The characters actually cry and barf when they kill someone/something for the first time. Quite realistic indeed!

Comic quest? Like 2Rats? Maybe... but I'm too cheap to buy stuff from them. Makiki download nalang ako somewhere siguro. Haha.
