I probably should have mentioned before I chose the DRAGON not only for its stats, but its combat duration as well. In a simple duration test, I go into the VR and hold-down both firing buttons to see which lasts the longest in conjunction with the PIXIE3.
DRAGON - Lasts until the PIXIE3 is at 340 ammo.
ROC4 - Lasts until the PIXIE3 is at 440 ammo.
GORGON - Waaaay to heavy.
GRIFFON - So short I'd never consider using it, lol.
Overall I prefer the DRAGON, it lasts a long time and has some great range. Although the shot velocity is a little lacking, I -am- using an MG and EO core as a primary means of atack to begin with, so there's not much of a loss.
As for cores:
The... I forgot it's name... The really heavy solid round EO core was, well, way to heavy for the design. It slowed Max Boost Speed down by alot, and not having 20 option slots really debilitates the overall design concept.
The E2 core's EO was far to short. It's a great core by itself, EO or not, but the combat duration was just lacking to much.
Besides, I wanted the URANUS on this design when I first came-up with the idea of it. I figured "URANUS + PIXIE3 = Rush", then decided to make it as uber as possible. Besides, the URANUS EO never runs-out of ammo, so that's another plus.
(I've had a few matches on Kai where I barely won simply because of the URANUS' EO when I had no weapons left.)
I do thank everyone for their ideas so far.

If you can stay at close range, which you intend to do with this AC, the Griffons 20 shot limit shouldnt affect you at all really.
I use the Griffon on my staple Tempest (further down on these boards) and with the RL+Griffon and my missiles, I can finish off most ACs before the Griffon runs out.
Sometimes its not all about combat duration, but combat effectiveness and the Griffon outclasses the Dragon in nearly everyway.
Thats just my take on the matter, take it anyway you will.

In my time spent rushing people on Kai for so long, I've learned that people outright LOVE to backpedal me in every way possible. I'm used to it now, but the reason I go for duration is that connecting shots with the PIXIE3 + DRAGON + URANUS aren't easy to make against an opponent that does everything to backpedal you for entire matches. Imagine, trying to hit something with a semi-close-quarters design that does nothing but back-up from you all day because you're a rusher, and every weapon on your AC is CQ with slow shot velocity.
Nightmares for a lot of people.
There is the occasional OB user that blasts past me instead of backpedaling, but those are far and few in between. If there were people crazy enough to rush me on Kai, I would definately consider using a more powerful per-shot AUL weapon, but there aren't very many people crazy enough to even attempt that.

I have yet to be out-rushed in a regular match.
Tonight I was playin on Kai and Anu made the king of all MG spam while we were playing around Site-S. It's hard to rush someone who's backpedaling you with NYMPHE + RM3 for the start of every match. Even in Site-S, it's still possible to do that to an extent.
Delta's legs broke a whoooole lot during those matches, mostly due to the initial missiles barrages that my backpedaling foe unleashed at point blank every time. Then again, having PIXIE2 + NIX + E2 being unleashed all at once doesn't help either. Although Delta was by every means the more balanced AC in those matches, it couldn't out-race the pure spam of the opponent. I was inclined to make the same design as Anu, but there wouldn't be any fun in that for me.
Even though Delta was at a disadvantage, I still kept using it as much as I could. However, aside from my 5 - 6 wins, I came pretty close to winning in more matches despite having my legs broken in almost every round.
It's still hard to use Delta to it's fullest regardless of who your opponent is, but it's such an awesome and original AC, I'd never think of replacing it. I just need more practice with it, there's way to much potential that I haven't even started to even tap into with this AC.
What makes a good AC to me is one that has every single part carefully chosen for it, and each piece is meant to compliment the overal design in every way. The real determining factor for a good AC to me is for the AC to be designed soley for it's creator. How often do you see ACs with such care placed into them these days?

Well mister Iguana...
A good AC stems from the synergy between it and the pilot rather than by the parts that are used.
if you are truly happy with your design, then there really isn't anything more that can be suggested here.
