Hello! I am new here and this is my first thread. I never used forums and i don't understand much about social media in general, so i will try to make this post and if something is wrong, let me know how i can correct.
Hm, so i will introduce myself and tell a little about how i became an Armored Core fan and how i knew about this community!
Name: Lia
Username: MajoZozo
Birthday: August 22 (yea, i'm posting this thread in my 27th birthday!)
Location: São Paulo, Brazil
Hobbies: i really like to draw and play some videogames
Favorite AC game: hm... hard to tell, i think it's Armored Core Project Phantasma... but i really like Armored Core Nine Breaker too... i don't know which one is my favorite
Favorite AC type: i love playing with heavy bipedal and middleweight reverse joint ACs
Other games that i like: Bomberman, Puyo Puyo and Spyro!
Hm, i love Sanrio Characters and My Little Pony too! So, i think you guys can tell that i really like cute things. My AC is always pink, btw
Okay, so i'm not the type of person that talks much about myself, but i'm really trying to be more open and i feel way more confident to talk in this forum than any other social media
This forum doesn't seems to have much activity right now, and for me it is great! I want to say things on the internet and don't be bombarded by lots of comments, it makes me feel a little anxious
So, first of all, how did i became an Armored Core fan.
My mom and dad bought a Playstation before i was born, and my dad knew a place that used to sell pirated copies of PSone games (yeah, my family only knew it was possible to buy original copies in Brazil when we got a PS3, it was almost 15 years after we got PSone
). One of the first games my family got for PSone was Armored Core and Armored Core Project Phantasma. So, when i was born, my mom and dad used to play a lot of videogames, and both played and finished Armored Core!
My mom loved the first one, and my dad likes Armored Core Project Phantasma the most.
Then, when i was a child, i was a little scared of PSone, especially because my dad not only used to play Armored Core, he played some Boomer Shooter, and these games are very violent!
When he played Armored Core, i always asked him to paint his AC pink and put the dragon emblem sample.
After a while, when i was in sixth grade (i think? i don't know exactly, but i was in the middle school...) my brother got a PS2.
Then one of our first game was Armored Core Nine Breaker, and i decided to try it!
I fell in love with the franchise and wanted to try the first one i still had for PSone! After that, i really started to look for more Armored Core games!
First time i've played Armored Core was a very scary experience for me (the graphics and some missions of the game is dark and lacks soundtrack, it was very scary for me!), and when i got in the final mission, i was so scared of confronting Nine-Ball that i started to search the internet for some tips and tricks.
I saw for the first time this community and started to search here for some tips, but after a while i saw a youtube video of a guy named Cacophanus to understand how i could defeat Nine-Ball
When i saw his video, i thought he hacked the game because he used Human Plus (didn't knew it was a thing i could get in the game), so i decided to use my mom's way to defeat Nine-Ball
it worked!
Of course, after that i played again, and again, and again... until my PSone broke, and now i play in my PC with emulator!
I played AC Project Phantasma, Nexus, For Answer, Armored Core V, Armored Core 6... now that i have a PC, i finally played Master of Arena (i'm still playing AC 2 and 3, and i will try to download PS3 emulator to play AC 4, i only played For Answer!)
but i still love the first generation and Nine Breaker
Okay, so about this forum.
I knew about this forum when i was searching for a way to defeat Nine-Ball, but after that i started to look here for more information about the game! I loved the Armored Core Oficial Book you guys uploaded here! And i used to see about some kind of tournament of Armored Core Last Raven... please correct me if i'm wrong, but i swear there was such a thing! Oh, i remember seeing a thing like this and thinking how cool would be to participate
It is a shame i can't play Armored Core online... even to this day, with Armored Core 6, i can't play it online because i bought (the original copy) for PS4, but i don't have enough money to spend with PS plus only to have online access for a month... i think i will buy the game again, but for Steam, it is better to play online for "free" than spend money every month on something the console should already come as a included thing.
Well, thats it!
Hm, so i will introduce myself and tell a little about how i became an Armored Core fan and how i knew about this community!
