- Lord_Leperman - 07-01-2007 It seems to be pretty old, but I'm quite surprised that this went under my game radar considering that I am both a mecha fan and a gamer at the same time. The game seems to play like the VFX games for the PSone from what I've seen in the screenshots, I'll make a full review after I try out the game when my DL is finished. Screenshots: http://www.angelfire.com/mac/mvo/sshots.htm Download the game here: http://www.box.net/p/lanza3246230 Macross VO is around 200mb while the VOXP version is around 400mb. The VOXP version has windows XP compatibility and a couple of extra usable units. Music mods and an interface translation are also available in the link provided earlier. Nix might go crazy over this - NiX - 07-01-2007 WAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOWNLOADING NOW. p.s. Will I need a controller? - cabs - 07-01-2007 nice! 14mins and counting... Thanks for the info rick - azuma-blade - 07-01-2007 downloading.... downloading.... must play the game xD - Lord_Leperman - 07-01-2007 Tried it. The game feels more like a doujin game rather than a full-fledged product. Not as polished as Macross: DYRL for the PS2 which is IMO a superior game in many respects. But still, the game has online multiplayer and mod skins, though the game really feels lacking in some areas. There is a glitch where the BGM won't play at all, so fire up your MP3 players while playing to get the feel for the game. Fighter mode feels like a frantic version of Ace Combat's. Your Valkyrie can turn on a dime on the spot and the controls feel a little too responsive that one is already making a 180 degree turn before anyone notices. I haven't fully worked on the locking system, so I can't really tell if I'm doing anything wrong or anything. There seems to be very little differences between Valkyrie, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes, though I presume you can't fire missiles while on Battroid mode like in the series, at least the one without the fastpacks equipped. Anyway, given a choice between DYRL for the PS2 and this game, I'd easily go for the former. - NiX - 07-02-2007 Waaah oo nga noh pahiram noong DYRL sa July 28. I keep forgetting. So is there a vast difference between the VO and the VOXP? And let's all play Multiplayer sometime (when I do download this -_-) - Lord_Leperman - 07-02-2007 Not much of a difference between the 2 versions, just get the VO version for the smaller size. Oh yeah, I won't forget DYRL , but what's on July 28? |
