- Khane - 12-30-2006 I'm an AC fan, and recently moved to nexus. After getting angry at that and ditching it I've picked up last raven to see if they improved the heat mechanics at all, which they have. But, being new to NX era AC games I figured I should post this to see if I'm on the right track with my designs. Have fun picking it apart! name: Cthonic Head.........Eye3(Missing some hidden heads. I plan on switching to a radarless head when I get a good one.) Core.........C98E2 Arms.........Lemur2 (Considering loris to increase speed. Thoughts?) Legs.........Cougar2 Booster......Vulture2 (Was TP but if it's banned then I might as well learn to play without.) FCS..........Miroku Generator....Kujaku Radiator.....Ananda Inside.......<No inside, considering ecm's. If they're banned I'll do without.> Extension....GAR2 <Trying to choose a missile extension, need advice.> Back.........WB69RA <I'm an ac 1 addict, I NEED instant feedback on my radar > Back 2.......Kinnara Right arm....Shade <Considering wr93rl.> Left arm.....YWH0SR3 (Rifles always seem iffy to me, except in project phantasma. Advice appreciated here.) options: Amino, 069ES, 071EC, Kissyoh, O79L+, golgi, histon, marishi I personnaly prefer to use the unit as a left handed rusher: High pressure EO's + Kinnara with extensions can really hurt close in, and I'm usually also spamming the R3. Mid range I tend to switch to shade and do the typical dual arm spam. I'd like to improve the thing some, as I think the room's there. Also, the machine seems really typical to me, so any ideas on original weapon setups is welcome too. I also feels it has a few heat problems. Recomendations on tunes would be nice, too, as it's mostly tuned for weight. - wanzerfreak - 12-30-2006 head - radarless heads have great core stats. s2,s3,s4,ladyB are some good choices. kujaku ---> g91 solves all your heat problems. miroku ---> volute or f73h ra ---> this is all you need for an arena ac. if you have a built-in radar, you don't need this. ec and histon ----> codon and ss lemur2 or loris ----> banned. macaque or gibbon are good alternatives. tp ---> is the result of lameass programming. banned. tunes: spread them accross cooling and def. - NiX - 12-30-2006 Everything looks pretty good. But if you're having trouble with heat, what you should first look at is the CALORIFIC VALUE of the generators. A high value usually causes a lot of heat. And KUJAKU is a prime example of a generator that runs very hot. Second, you should look at the BOOSTER HEAT stat of the booster you want to use. The hotter the booster you're using (ex. GULL), the cooler you want your generator to be (ex. LOTUS, FUDOH, etc) And then there are the radiators of course, but ANANDA is pretty much the only one you'll ever need... so don't bother changing that. As for your weapons, they're pretty good as they are, unless of course you wanna be original. - Grim - 12-31-2006 Solid, though like the others said, G91 would do good here. Combined with the Vulture2's relatively low heat and the Ananda's cooling capabilities, it should be able to make you move and withstand the heat of weapon hits. Shade is a good gun, you can keep it. The choice of that or the Mini-Sawa should be whether you feel that you need the accuracy or not. If you can inflict damage well with your other weapons, then just choose the Mini-Sawa, because even though it's dead-accurate, it's not really enough on its own to destroy an AC. Pick Shade if you're going for killpower in your main gun. Spamming it at mid-range doesn't always seem to work well though. I recommend you look into the RM3 extensions for your Kinnara missiles though. Since you said you used this thing at close range, the forward-firing motion of the relations should help set them up for a world of hurt. Oh, and welcome to the Republic! - Serene - 12-31-2006 Try going for Wanzer's Idea... LadyB G91 Macaque R92 -No offense, But I think Ananda Sucks Bamboo Shoots...- Tunes: 0-6-2-2-0 Or strengthen a part's weaker defensive stat... - J.E_Magog - 12-31-2006 focus on your energy management while playing so you dont have to use heavy generators or powerful boosters. and stop worrying too much on banned parts. - Serene - 01-01-2007 <!--QuoteBegin-jonevangelist+Dec 31 2006, 10:32 PM--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE (jonevangelist @ Dec 31 2006, 10:32 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> focus on your energy management while playing so you dont have to use heavy generators or powerful boosters. and stop worrying too much on banned parts. [/quote:e395143ef2] Specially if you're just playing with AI... Where're you from anyway? - Cerulean - 01-01-2007 The suggestions that wanzer gave are pretty good. The only thing I disagree with is probably the head. I would probably go with the S2 mainly because it's lightweight, has a low energy drain, and still manages to have pretty decent core stats. The low weight and energy drain is perfect for a rusher, but that's just my opinion. IIRC, the LadyB is pretty heavy and if you're trying to make a rusher, the less weight you have, the better. Other than that, I'd say you're on the right track. - Zigg - 01-02-2007 nice design... i think go with nix... ananda is a very good radiator... goes very well with lotus, fudoh or G91. but if you find yourself overheating too much go with the Ragora... or try Lotus linden with Gull boosters (if you dont mind OPDing)... if not try the vulture series of boosters... the best head for your AC that is radarless in my opinion is CR-YH70S2 or CR-H8154. The stats and cooling... plus weight and energy efficiency... best is though is to experiment for yourself and see what you like... but you are going in the right direction... |
