Simple enough, if you were one of those who survived at the end of Nexus, which side would you join and why?

For me, i'd probably join Vertex. I've always been kind of anti-authority, plus the ravens in ATU are total jerks.

- Black Dragon - 11-03-2006

I'd join Vertex, however, if there was a choice not to join either sides, I'd choose none of them. (for me at least Blink)

Like Zinaida said, they should've focused their time on the Pulverizers instead of the conflict.

- Serene - 11-04-2006

I'm a bounty hunter... I only take missions that have an AC in it...
But still, Alliance do have strong enemies...
Alliance it is...

- Grim - 11-04-2006

Alliance, 'cause they're better organized (even with all that backstabbing and switching sides deal with Evangel), plus they're evil. Tongue

Vertex was a more loose organization of Ravens IMO, and Jack-O wasn't that effective a leader either.

Granted, I didn't really pay much attention to LR's story outside of Zinny and the Pulvies, but that's my impression for you.

Oh, and by the way, medyo defective yung poll... pwedeng piliin both choices. Tongue Next time, kung gusto mo isa lang pwedeng piliin, pick Single Choice(1) dun sa drop down box na visible kapag gumagawa ng poll.

- azuma-blade - 11-04-2006

same as serene's opinion...

- beastkiller - 11-04-2006

i choose alliance because mas malaki cla mag reward

- J.E_Magog - 11-04-2006

vertex dahil pula yung kulay ng agila that reminds me of crest that reminds me of the emeraude corporation back in ac2.

- Fox - 11-04-2006

Vertex. I agree more with Jack's ideals on creating a new world order with Ravens free from the corrupt grip of the corporations. Personally, it's not about the money, it's the principle of the thing.

- VeilSide - 11-06-2006

alliance because they don't go and start killing off their own ravens unless they turn traitor.

also, they probably have more money since they're run by corporations and so they probably pay better and it's easier to get access to parts and stuff.

- Black Dragon - 11-08-2006

Wasn't that Jack's idea and not Vertex? O.o

I agree, the killing of Ravens allied to its side wasn't strictly Vertex's idea, it was more of their leader picking off those whom he deemed unworthy and weak, one by one. I think for Jack-O, Shishio Makoto's creed held true: it is truly a survival of the fittest in the world of Armored Core. The strong shall live, and the weak shall die.

- Black Dragon - 11-08-2006

I was under the impression that Jack did it so that it would prevent the pulverizers to evolve faster since pulverizers gather data very quickly if it manages to get multiple data from different types of ACs and performance of the pilot. It would just get strong faster, like demonstrated in one path (airborne pulverizer...)

I mean, Pulvies ARE based on ACs IIRC Blink (with exception on the last one)

But that's just a theory anyway Tongue

But wouldn't that spell even more trouble for Ravens as a whole? It's something I never understood: who actually controls the Pulverizers? Who selects their targets? Surely it wasn't Vertex, or Alliance? Maybe it was a Controller-type AI, overseeing all things? If so, then these Pulverizers, being beefed up from battling all the great pilots that were left, would respawn better, faster and stronger, making life even harder for the remaining Ravens. Was this Jack's goal? Or was it to find out who was the strongest one of all, the Dominant, the Last Raven? (Note: these are real questions I'd like to know the answer to, not rhetorical ones Tongue) That goes askew with the whole 24 hour deadline backdrop don't you think? It's kinda confusing me as well...

- Black Dragon - 11-08-2006

Yeah, I got a bit confused there too. If they tried to bring their Ravens together, they would easily be able to beat the pulverizers. But I'm guessing Jack's purpose in organizing Vertex is not just for a "new order", but to prevent Alliance's hands from getting the technology.

That dominant thing though, I believe Jack believes that there's a Raven with superior capabilities, as mentioned in the Dominant theory (check log data) that can keep up with the Pulverizers evolution and the "unknown" threat of the Internecine.

I think the Pulverizers, or the Internecine itself wasn't suppose to be active in the first place. The events in NX must've somehow triggered it.

Either it was activated because the "incident" in the last mission of NX or Navis activated the Internecine around the time it crumbled. Because in the log data, it says the one that created Circ-city is Navis (not the internecine's creator/s). Sorta like crab mentality Blink

EDIT: though Navis was not the one that created the Internecine

But those are still theories Tongue

- Fox - 11-09-2006

Can anyone come up with a decent explanation for the storyline?

At first Jack seems motivated to rid the world of the Corporations. Later he finds out about the Internecine and starts acting weird and pits Raven against Raven just to see who's strong enough to fight the Pulvies.

Or did he really know about the Internecine from the beginning and just orchestrated the war between Alliance and Vertex as a cover to find the "Last Raven".

If that's the case, what he did was pretty stupid.

Why the hell did he do that? Why didn't he just explain the situation to all surviving Ravens and rallied them together to fight the Internecine? Surely a lot of Ravens going against the Pulvies would result in better chances of success instead of sending in just one or two skilled pilots.

I'm really confused but then again, the storyline never really mattered that much in AC games.
